Is this supposed to be a horror game? I haven't downloaded the demo, so i dont know if you've already done this, but if its supposed to be horror, add some really dark bits, and some blood/gore every now and then

Play the demo like i did.

I like the office/place of work feel and i was actually scared when i saw the zombie outside looking in (sure wasn't expecting that). I had a feeling that doctor would attack me but it was still fun to kill him. I ran out of bullets though and couldn't kill the zombie at the end (had to dodge him to get the key).

Nice work, hope to see more

I screamed when the doctor attacked me and when the zombie was in the window. I ran out of ammo too, place out some more ammo. I also like the music and the menus. Good demo!

Hi,

Overall ambience was nice, although I seem to be having a problem:

When I enter the level there are a sequence of doors that require a key, I get the key, but when I return to any of these doors they still show the message "Door Locked" - pressing enter/mouse button(s) doesn't do anything.

Is there a specific keyboard key I need to be pressing to activate the key? (I'm pretty sure I've tried them all).

Cheers, Rich.

You know the three office doors in the large hallway? The first key goes to one of those doors. Just press enter to open.
(it goes to one of the doors on the side with the plants)

I downloaded the demo, there i was very impressed with your menu and loading screens and your music. The level seemed a little bright and didnt really set a scary feel, but the music did. I really liked the level layout and i had good frame rate throughout. But i did fall through the ground when i was trying to get the key and ended up losing it....but that happens in my games to must be a glitch.
Overall i really liked it, maybe the brightness level could be lowered to set the scary feel even more.

Nice work... original menu and music. Some content I havn't seen before.

Layout and progression were good. Had to go from one end to the other.

Just because you asked:

1. Not enough ammo to kill both enemies in the level. Possibly intentional that you have to run from one instead of killing him.

2. Lighting looks good except for where the dark area where the zombie is. Too dark. Got the key by pure luck and then couldn't see the way back out.

3. Lighting has no source, which is ok but, your realism is pretty good other than that there are no light fixtures. The lights come from nowhere.

If it really is your first game, I can't wait to see more. This is about the best I've seen to date. Very nice.

I ran into a bug both in the mens room and the ladies room. I fell through the floor when i walked into the open toilet booth´s. That was quite annoying.

@ phil17 / Antimatter Games - When I walk into those areas it's more of a stumble, very odd.

@ Walking Dead - Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, figured out which of the doors I was supposed to go through. Just a few thoughts:

1. Is it possible that when the player approaches a locked door that they do have the key for that it says "Press Enter to use Key"?

2. I liked the office environment, horrors often work best in familiar surroundings as the feeling of security is removed. Scare a person where they would normally feel safe and they won't feel safe again.

3. All the usual stuff, menus, screens etc were all well done. And the music/ambience.

4. The zombie and the doctor were good moments.

5. The keys; I seemed to find most of these by accident (were you placing some inside objects?). It would probably be better that the player can see the keys when they're looking for them.

6. Plenty of food in the fridge, oh and I notice Lee's image on the milk.

7. Managed to get through with just the ammo in the level, killing both enemies.

Look forward to seeing more.

Cheers, Rich.

Hey guys! Thanks for the great suggestions and reviews. I have taken a few suggestions and updated the game to version 1.1

The patch can be downloaded here:
http://www.tuckerlifehealth.com/temp/fps/EOTDpatch_10to11.exe (6 MB)

I couldn't figure out the "falling through the floor" problem because it doesn't happen on my computer. So I moved the key outside the bathroom stall.

---------------------------

Version 1.1 changes:
1. Changed lighting to a darker atmosphere
2. Added more ammo
3. Created some light sources
4. Moved keys to more visible areas

mhmm..intresting game! Every time I opended the door and went into the room I alwas looked behind me! ..pretty fun!...(and a bit scary)...The fun part was seeing that doctor guy go all spasmic! I had a bullet left(not being able to kill that other zombie!). I suggest more ammo! Good game though..and keep up the good work!

This demo is great! And why are people complaining about ammo because it's on the ground next to the doctor zombie. I like it!

Nice work. I downloaded your older demo and enjoyed it quite a lot. The only thing that I didn't like was the massive amount of collecting keys (and finding them). Otherwise it was very well made. I got one bug though; on one of the office rooms (I believe it was the second one with a key), I suddenly fell trough the ground and died.

It's wonderful that you are planning to make this game a freeware too, like I do with my games.

Will download the updated demo soon.

Thanks for your input. I will work on changing it to less key-collecting and add some different objectives to take the place of the keys.

I'm not sure about the bug of falling through the floor, several other people have reported that bug also, in the restroom stalls. I can't get it to do it on mine. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Just played both levels w/patch. I never had the falling through the floor problem either.... don't know what thats about.

I did however have a frame rate issue. I know this sounds crazy but, every time I got near a sink, the frame rate dropped noticeably. Anyone else notice this?
