FPSC Classic Scripts / fantasy spell script?

I was wondering if it was possible to create a certain script. I wish to program a fantasy styled action game including spells. I wanted it to be you pick up a scroll, find an activation point and a series of animations (such as the fire or teleport decals) flash around you, then causing a new "weapon" which would be the spell to be added. I would also like to know as I've never compiled a game with this if you can transfer your inventory level to level. I'm am not necessarily asking for the script (although that would be nice), but simply if it is possible.

I'm a noob and proud of it!!! GRRRR!!!

Just have the weapon be the animations, decals can be loaded via gunspec.txt

then you trow a "Spell" at the enemy.

dont know if this will help but all you haft to do is make a gun and give it to the AI and/or youself and the spell is animation like if you want a blue or red ball to come out that would be animation i used milkshap3D to make the gun and animation for a ice saff milkshap3D has a hole list of gun fire or ball fire(like a fire ball or ice ball)

Make the scroll the body of the gun and make the blue ball or whatever the projectile. If you can do some good scripting and have your "spell gun" you can create poison spells and such.
