I don't think it's any easier than DarkBASIC, and far less functional in terms of game-writing. For children starting out in programming, it's too complex.

I looked at this, and now I've started teaching my 9-year old with DB Pro.

And I don't believe you can compile your program to executable, or perhaps that was an older version.

I've taught my 6 year old brother how to use DbPro, which he gets the basics of. This KPL... I don't really understand it.

It doesn't look like you can create executables directly, but with this:

Quote: "C# and VB.NET code can be generated from the KPL source with a button click"

and the fact that the express compilers are now freely available, it might be possible to create an exe. I think I'll have a play, just for fun

Because I think it matches C++/C# more--- it's not a BASIC variant right?

Calling this "Koding4Fun" would have been a much smarter marketing move than using "Coding".

Fools.

The difference though, is KPL is not strictly procedural.

Looking at the syntax, I thought it was quite easy to understand.

less of a basic but maybe it could use structs fully and use pointers fully

Coding4Fun is also aimed at hobbiest coders as well as children with the KPL... Personally, I would rather they kept the Coding4Fun name, to me, it sounds nicer
