Quite a simple question, anyone know how to make some decent explosions? And I don't mean just a couple spheres rotating inside eachother. lol, thanks.

In Unreal Tournament, the explosions were made of sprites, that play one time through, then disapeer completely. The same goes for Half Life, Quake 3, & others. Its been a while since ive played UT 2k3, so I cant remember if it uses sprites or not, but you can use either sprites or particles (pretty much the same as sprites.) Think of it as an animation that has a one time effect until the next one.

With classic? If so, where?

Although, I'm already guessing you'd just animate the sprite onto a plane positioned where you want the explosion to be. But it'd still be nice to see an example.

Yes, I saw that (particle bomb if that's what you mean) but it wasn't really what I was looking for, I guess I could do some major editing though so it will fit better.
