omg! leik take a look at my pro forum i got from proboards!!!1oneoen

No.

During the past month i have been working on various projects, one of them being a forum yay.

so today i uploaded the latest version of it, and i would like your opinions on it.
like what is a good color scheme, what features would make a forum, etc.

if you are interested in checking it out, the url is http://forum.lukasw.com/.

so please take a moment, and write me a comment in this post on what you think of it. it would be nice to get some feedback on this after all this time

you should've seen it before i switched colors.. all green :/ it killed my eyes

and i just found a bug
if i log in, and click on a registered user, suddenly im logged in as that user i clicked on

IMHO it looks like it could be a nice, professional forum, but the darker blue doesn't only stand out too much, but it can throw people off if you happen to decide to put a blue link on it. But I like it a lot, small, functional, and easy to get through.

BTW, isn't that Kerian420 guy the one whos been banned 3 times on 3 accounts within the past month?

Finally someone has made a decent forum all by their self, with out the aid of proboards or powerboards. Looks good Lukas, better than data 98 junkies crappy computer mouth forum

thanks, but i am not the only one to write a forum.
there are many users on this forum that have written their own, i can't remember who though right now.

i cannot recreate the "post and you will become admin using lukasw's profile" bug :/ and i dont find anything in the code that is causing this problem. so i edited the posts to give the users their original positions (users) and avatar etc. so hopefully it will stay this way.

I written 2 forums, both php. One is not hosted, and was made in php3, the other isnt hosted and is in php 4 (my host upgraded to php 5 recently). I have the source all intact though.

Evil Mods keep erasing my below 600x120 sig...

not really. It gets boring after you realised you messed one *minor* detail up, and if you want to make an upgrade or expand upon that version, you have to re-write most of it...

Um lukas.. I made an account called Admin.. Delete it if you wish .. But when you register, you dont need to use a pass :o .. err yeah and I got admin pannels etc.. you need to set up some security

i think i know how to fix the bug where

because i use sessions, something is happening causing the session that stores the user position in the forum to change into the position of the user the user is currently viewing the profile of.

so if i take the square root of pi divide it with the tangent of a 30degree triangular spehere and multiply it with the number of braincells in a cow i got to the answer: sql table.
