Here is a model pack i have made, that is free that you can use to your disposel.

It includes bushes, trees, rocks, ferns etc. fully textured, modeld, low polygon count aswell.

It is in application form, so just install it in your user folder, although it is defult to it already.

In the download there is an application named demomodelpack.

ENJOY!!!!
Cheers!!!!

Wow, cool and these actually work even in a build game!!! The screenshot is from a build game. The screenshot is just quick testing, I'll create a much better one soon. Thank you so much for this!

There are a number of items, like the grass and ferns scaled completely wrong thoug, they're much to big.

Are you planning on releasing more of this or perhaps even enlighten us on how to achieve this also?

Theres some nice stuff here. Good work.

It's easy to get the player stuck in this stuff though. You should use it mostly in the distance or use an invisible wall in front of it.

I really don't know anything about prices for this kind of stuff, and until I begin work on a game in earnest, I have no idea what I would be looking for.

Right now I am just learning and practicing. Sorry.

It really depends on how the 75 models are divided. If the models had a good selection of all sorts of trees (which I'm mostly interested in), and only some bushes, rocks, grass and flowers, I would pay around $10 for it.

Why not more? The problem with these kind of packs (even my own pack) is that I would use it now and then. Since FPSC isn't build for large outdoor level, but you can incorporate it if you build your level cleverly enough, I wouldn't create a game with lots of outdoors levels. With my current game only 2 of the levels are outdoors.

I'm not sure how much times goes into developing this and do understand that you don't give out your secrets, I don't either for my landscape pack and that's the only good working one around. But looking at this, I don't think it took ages to create these, so I'm saying around $10 would be fair.

That was nasty - the Uninst.exe prog it places in the entitybank folder is spyware. Microsoft AntiSpyware flagged it up as *urgent* immediately I ran it. The program it tries to install is named 'PersonalMoneyTree'.

Cheers for that. I won't be trying the newer exe - no way, no how. Needler, I strongly suggest you run a *good* antispyware tool asap. If you have done so since this was posted, apologies etc...

Ummm.... I looked for the file, but there wasn't a Uninst.exe installed when I installed the pack.

Benjamin,

The first pack, the one that only contains a BMP is the one. It creates an UNINST.EXE and UNINST.LOG and a new folder, DemoPack I think it was called, in the entitybank top-level folder. The replacement pack may very well not do this, but the first one definitely does. I installed it to see if it really did only contain a single pic!

This was just a friendly alert for you peeps, and esp. Needler who I'd hate to think had a nasty on his PC.

PS - I'm a professional Windows C++ developer & IT consultant, just in case you think this was a noob error....

If I was, I wouldn't use FPSC at all, but probably get a C++ orientated one or even write my own engine......
