Hi guys

in addition to the characters in Vol. 2, i also stated i would be making a selection of animated weapons for the pack, and here are some examples of what will be in the next package.

i made these much earlier, so newer versions will be even better, this is to give the feel of the quality you can expect in vol. 2, also with full animations, and hands (hands with variety of textures, e.g white/black skin, clothing camo, gloves)

and more, including MP5, UMP, M249, M4A1, AK47, Galil etc.

there is still much to be done, but its going well, i must not go too much into making all this stuff at once, as i have exams soon

check the other thread, i posted an untextured render

if the textures look crap for these ones, its probably because it was made ages ago, when i sucked at it lol

Do a pack without hands as well so they don't look out of place if people decide to use FPSC weapons. They do kick ass though.

I'm not into guns, even though they look excellent, but that line caught my attention.

What kind of characters are going to be in the pack? I really could use some civilians (casual/business) and a paramedic, police officer and fireman. I'm willing to pay for it of course!

Btw, I'm going to get your corepack vol 1 as soon as I've got the money together and to add on to my requests, any chance of doing a car pack? Police car, Ambulance, FireTruck and some regular cars?

thanks in advance

i'll have a think about that, some cars could be nice, ive always had problems setting up reference images for vehicles, but that was only for accurate modelling...hmmm

i might also be able to include a fighter jet also, i made one a while back, and i forgot to texture it, and i think it was fairly low on the polycount, so it could make a nice static entity

EDIT:

lol, thanks conner, theres still much to be done though

If you need any gunspecs or stats for the above weapons I'd be happy to give

Also, I think the rate of fire for an automatic weapon is dependent on the fire loop animation lenghth, so, for example, give the P90 a short firing animation. Just a tip

yeh, that will all need to come to mind when im animating it, but untill that time, i'll just worry about making the mesh first, once theyre all made, i'll make the animations.

luckily gun animations are usually small swift movements in a certain direction (e.g. pull, push) so i'll see how that turns out, ive had some experience with animations (not anatomy) so this should be alright

not quite sure yet, but due to the mass amount of animated content, and its probably being the FIRST pack to contain animated weapons, probably about $30.00?

but buyers of Vol. 1 will get a reasonable discount if they decide to buy, im not certain on the amount yet, i havnt planned everything financially yet, im just getting it done

yeh i like the P90 too, a very 'rapid' gun

i'll have to think about that discoutn, i cant really go too low so that its the price of Vol. 1, saying that, when there will be much more content, but im sure i can make it a nice deal for you guys

How about splitting the pack into a gun pack and a character pack? You may get more sales like that.

@Jonathan
Very nice work! That's top notch modeling right there. Anyway, I was wondering if you could consider modeling some paintball guns too. I'm developing a paintball game and I pretty much suck at modeling and after I saw your work I was amazed. Anything you can come up with would be awesome. Thanks very much.

-Duke

BTW what modeling program do you use?

i use 3DS Max version 7

i'll have to think about the paintball guns, i dont think theres much demand for them, and would be something that some buyers of the pack may never use, so i'll have to think about that...

Ya, I like the idea of splitting the pack, cause I really don't need the characters yet.

ok. What about a suppressed version of some weapons, with quieter fire noise, etc?

Also, a PPk would be cool,

the P90 looks really nice (i guess you'll get rid of the distortion at the front)

what about a MP5K (the kurtz, shorter version), also I can make you new muzzle flash decals, with 2 muzzle flashes, then maybe make dual weilded weapons?

Very nice overall tho dude. I agree with the idea of splitting the pack into a weapons pack and a characters pack.

alright, i'll take all that into account, but can i ask that you leave your comments in the other thread, i want it so i can refer to that one thread for all info its much easier for me

i dont think i'll have any trouble with muzzle flashes, photoshop has never failed me, but thanks for the offer
