can someone tell me how to get rid of network connections on my taskbar??

i have windows xp,i open up network connections and cant find any way to get it off there.

right click the icon you want to get rid of
choose status
click the properties button
uncheck "Show icon in notification area when connected"

ok,when i right click the icon on the taskbar,the little window that pops up only has 'open network connections' & 'change firewall settings'.

disable it via network connections
