Would anyone be interested in a school model pack? I am currently making some school type models for my game and was wondering if there was a demand for it amoung the FPSC community. It would include models like lockers, desks, chaulkboards, tables, books, computers, etc.

not bad duke just keep working.

but get this free program http://www.uvmapper.com/downloads.html

and texture it and *maybe* add a little more detail to the desk then you will have a great model texturing can help alot.

like maybe add a thingy under the chair like in the pic

the best thing I find in modeling is not to look for a specific texture, look for a material texture that is needed and combind them into one, For instance- for the desk look for a light colored woodgrain(for the desktop), a reflective metal(for the legs and such) and maybe a textured colored plastic(for the seat). Those should look nice on a desk model. Hope that helped.

School models, yeah that may be a bit risky, keeping in mind the columbine high school massacre. They say that those kids who did the shootings, one of them liked to make his own custom Doom levels and he made a level that resembled the columbine corridors. I'm just saying as my own personal opinion that making models that would obviously be used in a school map may be a bad idea for an FPS game.

holes...what do you mean? All lockers have an indentation where the dial is. I'm not sure why I put the curve at the top to be honest. I think I saw some like that somewhere but not at my school. Sorry if you don't like it.

I think a school model pack is great as long as people don't use it to make games that promote violence in schools. If Duke wants to use it to make paintball games, that's great. But hey, freedom of expression, right? I say keep doing what you're doing. Looks pretty good so far.
