I'm not dead (as it was suggested in the previous quest thread :S)
I'm still working on Quest (now Beyond the Horizon)
Its better than ever and faster than ever
Don't ask for demos please, I work on this at my leisure (when ever i feel like it) and i'm not working to any deadlines
I just want to know what you think of these new shots...

WOW!! A VIDEO!!! OF FIGHTING IN QUEST

new shot added

Looking good as always, though I hope you can zoom the camera in if you want...

Only thing I don't like about this project is teh lack of pollygons, so I suggest you get youself a modeler. I'd offer to help, but I'm still in the progress of learning to model, and am reather busy as it is.

It looks fun, kind of runescape-esque. Any way to get a demo soon ? Or perhaps screenies of interacting with NPCs, fighting, that kind of stuff?

EDIT: One thing I don't really like about it is how dark it is... unless thats strictly a night setting.

"One World, One Web, One Program" -Microsoft ad.
"Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer"(One People, One Kingdom, One Leader)-Adolf Hitler.

yeh the engine is pretty much written, this is a game built upon it.

more shots soon...

yes the gravyard is meant to have a lower light level, but there is also meant to be fog there too to make it darker.

When will you "Release" the engine?

as soon as this game is done?
or you keep it your own naughty little secret?

Depends on what you mean by level editor. I mean i use a deled to make the level object pro but i made a program to help me with arrangement, that wasn't that hard. If you just need to lay stuff out on a matrix well that's even easier.
