Thanks to your Animal Crossing thread, you have forced my to buy a Nintendo DS. Anyhow, by working during spring break, I was able to buy the DS that came with the game Animal Crossing. And since I wanted both, it was excellent. And yes, I already know about the new DS coming out, but, I don't really care how they look, I mean, they all perform the same function. Anyhow, great game, and system.

However, how do I connect to WiFi through the game? Thanks, I'm trying to figure that out currently...

You'd need some friend codes first - never managed to connect to wi-fi even with my 30 or so friend codes .

My son and youger brother have DS's so we've been playing link mode - real easy, just find the guard dog on the right, tell him you want to invite friends, then select DS to DS. Everyone else tells the dog they want to go out, select DS to DS and it should report your town as open and available.

Good luck with WFC, there are actually some objectives that have you taking lost kiddies home, to other towns! - so try not to visit weird places you don't intend to return to, otherwise you could end up babysitting kittens and stuff .

I'm sorry, but I am major noob to Animal Crossing, this is my first time playing it.

Hehe, it's real straightforward, did'nt mean to scare ya!

Find the building with the big arch door, like the biggest door you can get, it's usually right at the very top of your map. Go inside and you'll find 2 doggies, on the right you can get your wi-fi stuff, DS to DS or WFC Wifi connection blah blah thingy. The other doggie keeps the lost and found stuff.

Incidently, I found a widescreen TV in the recycle bin the other day, check it everyday, it's in the post office - never know what someones thrown away!

Pokemon link, get that, waste your money, I dares ye...Soapy, I've had my eye on a few DS games for when I replace my broken one (Freaking cats!!)
Spongebob - Yellow avenger
Ice Age 2
Animal Crossing
Sonic Rush
Resident Evil
Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (when released)
Metriod
Spyro
James Pond- Robocod (was amazing on the Amiga, and should be on the DS)

And when my DS was working I had Rayman DS (which is basically Rayman 2, which was a waste of money as I had already completed it) Mario 64 DS, obviously its Mario 64, which is a really cool game as I never played it, but had nothing else as there weren't anything else good out at the time

Yey! I removed the sig...

Age of Empires DS is perhaps one of the best strategy games on the market. It's turned-based, much like Advance Wars DS (which is also very high quality). I love both of them.

Meteos is another kickass game. Tetris DS is cool as there are tons of new modes and you have all the retro goodness scenery happening in the background. So fun and addictive.

Brain Age is pretty neat too. I just picked that one up a few days ago and it's helping me increase my brain potential. Animal Crossing DS, of course--- the sheer amount of cool wares to buy in the game makes it worth it. It's almost as good as the NGC version.

Fifa Soccer '06 is very good-- probably the best DS sports title.

This month we'll see the new Mario Bros. game for the DS, and that looks phenomenal. Watch the videos on IGN to see.

I still haven't visited anyone's town, and I think it would be neat. Anyone want to exchange codes?

Also, how do you plant another non-native fruit in your town? Once in a while a coconut washes ashore, but when I bury it and water the sprout, it always disappears in a few days. No tree. It would be neat to have a bunch of non-native fruit trees as each piece of fruit is 500 bells.

And if you want to make a ton of money, fast, then invest in the stalk market (funny name, I know). I did this on the NGC version--- I dumped almost all of my savings in there and the price shot up something like 900%. It was rare and flukey, but I had enough money to pay off two upgrades on my house all at once. It was the bomb

I just hate getting up on Sunday mornings to hunt around for the turnip seller.

Does anyone here plant the white turnips? The ones that are worth lots of money but need to be watered several times a day? I haven't taken that risk yet.

Okay, 90% of that was greek, but sure, I live in Southern Cailfornia, USA, I'll exchange codes, how do I do it?

Wait, is each person's town like different? Like randomly generated. I don't understand that part...

At the moment,
KEY: =amazing =good =okay =sux

Metroid Prime Hunters demo (can't exactly get anymore, so buy the full one)
Mario 64 DS
Rayman DS
Kirby Canvas Curse
Sonic Rush
NFSU2 DS
Ridge Racer DS
Mario Kart DS
Advance Wars: Duel Strike
Tony Hawk's American Sk8Land
Animal Crossing: Wild World

As you can see, I'm something of a DS junkie.
I guess that's because I have no game systems but a DS, a computer, and an old gbc I kept so I could play some classics old school style.

There are many great games I plan to get (and I plan to get rid of the bad ones), but I haven't bought any new games for some months now.

Quote: "Tony Hawks is surprisingly good."

Surprisingly? But you're right that it's good. It has everything that makes old school tony hawk good, as well as a bunch of new moves. I'm glad they went with cartoony graphics so it wouldn't be compared with the console versions. I LOVE Tony Hawk games... all must get it...

Quote: "Spyro"

I'd stay away... it got a 4 out of ten and is supposed to be basically the worst of all the spyro games.

Aparantly a Pikmin DS is planned, that should be interesting . Pikmin and Pikmin2 on the gamecube are classics.

Tony Hawks surprised me because the graphics didn't strike me as that good, but it's nice and smooth when playing and the graphics do suit the game. When you look at the PSP, it's clear that it's far more powerfull, but then I look at my Xbox and it's got practically the same games, driving, sports, more driving... People mock me for playing Harvest Moon and Pikmin, well they should just go play Fifa 9000 and leave me alone . The mockery ends when there's just one sad git with no DS in a room with 3 people playing Animal Crossing

Metroid looks stunning, dubious about handheld FPS games, but people seem to love it.

Bob Ross Painting is in the pipeline too, come on, you know you want it. It should come with a free afro, a 70's shirt, and some titanium white.

Haha... and I also hear rumours about a Mario Paint DS--- should be interesting

I *loved* Pikmin 2 but wasn't a huge fan of Pikmin due to the time limit. I loathe games with forced time limits
