well the folder with the fpe file in it put in entitybank/scifi/crossbow/ and the other in gamecore/guns/scifi/crossbow/ have fun

no sorry go and download the rar program off download.com it supports both formats.rar is newer and more popular as .zip is a lot older

lol! its going pretty well,for effect ive made it shoot like loads off bullets (10 bullets per shot i think) it acts like a machine gun,and the sparks from the bullets looks a bit like fire.

Filefront sucks.He has some of his models hosted on
www.fps-files.net.I hope he lets them host his weapons there too.
I need to see if it is okay with Mattess to post the file here.If he says it's okay I'll do it.I haven't heard from him in a few days.

Dude, why not make an arrow. then make the crossbow us the arrow for flak, then it would shoot arrows... that weren't invisible.

I am still trying to get to that.I just posted the original crossbow so jordmans can download it since Filefront is infamous for downloading problems.I will check on the arrow thing as soon as I can.I haven't forgotten.

Here's the deal.I got the crossbow to shoot an exploding projectile. That wasn't too difficult.When I tried to change the projectile to an arrow FPSC would not run at all.
To make your crossbow shot an exploding projectile do the following.
Open up The Game Creators\FPS Creator\Files\gamecore\flak\modernday folder.
Copy the folder that says "law" to the flak\scifi folder and rename it "crossbow".
Open up the gamecore\guns\scifi\crossbow folder.
Make a copy of the "gunspec" file.
Open up the original gunspec file.
Right underneath the line that says "smoke = 1" insert this line:
"flak = scifi\crossbow" and close the gunspec file.
Your crossbow should now fire explosive projectiles.
Things to note:
1. Make abosolutely sure you back up anything before you change it.
2. Make sure you fire from quite a distance away from a wall, entity, etc. or you are going to take some damage.

well...sortof since fpsc doesnt support particles i cant really do that but ive done it so like its shoots lots of bullets at a time (way more than a machine gun) so it look a bit like flame try it and find out

You're welcome,Mattess.You could replace the buletholes of the flamethrower with a fire decal although I am at a loss at this time on how to change the fire decal.
I'm not sure I can stop the projectile from damaging you if you are too close but I will see what I can do.
Maybe the next weapon you should try is the needle gun.

omg i forgot about the needler (not sure how it would track enemy tho)
hmm might be harder to make quite a bit harder cos projectile but all it is is a cylinder lol
