So a few months ago we redid our basement, got rid of our old tv and got a brand new plasma screen. mmm yummy. Since then, our old NES has been stored in the closet, all by it's lonely self. I googled for a RF to RCA adapter, as no RF option is available to us anymore. RCA to RF seems to be available, but I couldn't find an affordable solution so far for RF to RCA.

Anybody have an NES (or any other RF-output system) hooked up to a modern RCA (Red, White, Yellow) TV, or have any advice to offer to me?

Thanks,
Matt

I use the N64 output cable on the SNES since it has a slot for it... maybe the NES has that same output slot? Not sure though.

No, it just has the RF thingy. And I can't think of ever seeing that, though I know that I have connected my NES to RCA before. I think it was an adapter that Nintendo sold that did that.

Wierd, I only looked at the back at first, but then later I noticed on the side is an Audio and Video RCA output. Works great!

I wouldn't play games on your plasma--- you should've gotten a smaller LCD HDTV for the same price. Crystal clear and burn-in proof

Well it could very well be that, I don't know the difference. I know it's got a huge screen, we get HD cable, and a kick ass sound system.

I hope you have LCD. Plasma is dead. LCD have taken over. LCD prices rising, Plasma prices falling. Plasma has a lifetime that is worked out in Hours.

You could get one of these:

Will play all NES carts, comes with 2 controllers and connects to standard display via AV cable. Not bad for $25.

Thats pretty nice for the price. I still have my old NES, hooked up right next to my 360.

Yeah, I still have a couple NES top loaders and those have NEVER given any trouble at ALL. I have about 3 regular NES consoles, and only one of them works like it should. The top loaders from way back are great, and if that system is anything like the 93's, it's a very good buy.

I have an NES hooked up to my car, does that count? I have a cable that can hook up to just about any Nintendo version. I think I got it from EB.
