Just saw Silent Hill today with my girlfriend and what can I say...I was dissapointed. To me, I'd have rather just stopped by a fatal highway car wreck to get the experience that I got from that movie and not had to pay $7.50 for tickets. Besides from some hands down awful acting, the amount of gore was just highly unnecessary. If you disagree thats fine, just stating an opinion here, I think it would have been best to leave it a game....

On a different movie note...I thought United 93 was incredible, and has anyone seen M:I:3 yet?

Was about to go see it today, but my senses and my dissapointments over previous game-made-movie flicks (Uwe Boll, anyone?) told me I'd be better off at home. Though now my girlfriend wants to see that American Haunting movie, and any movie with such a lame title as that usually gets a no-show by me, but I guess I shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Anyone seen that either?

"One World, One Web, One Program" -Microsoft ad.
"Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer"(One People, One Kingdom, One Leader)-Adolf Hitler.

I dunno, I thought it had one hell of a good story. Bad dialogue, yes. But if you've actually played the game, the dialogue in them is not even partly good.

As for gore, once again, in the games, lots of blood all over the place. Silent Hill 4, the hallway in the alternate apartment building, blood covered walls. Sh3, Sh2, Sh1, bodies rotting all over the place.

It seems to be more of a "Fan" of the series movie.

You should have seen Slither instead--- Grade A horror flick I say. Probably the best I've seen in years.

I saw MI3 yesterday. Thought it was very good, best of the 3 imo, plenty of action throughout. And I wasn't a major fan of the first two really.

Silent Hill was a good film, in my humble opinion. It was quite nightmarishly gory yes, but that should please all the Silent Hill fanboys and blood-thirsty cinema going teenagers (like me, I'll admit)

The acting sucked, but again, it's not exactly about the acting.

I too, want to see Mi3, but I have forecast that it will be lame. And that bit in the trailers where a plane flies past and he gets blown into a car. Why? The explosion was behind him, and the plane was flying the other way. Why did he fly that way? Bah.

Agree on the whole Critics viewpoint. Critics couldnt stop beating on "V for Vendetta" which I really enjoyed. To each his/her own I guess

Thought it was pretty good, the movie was surprisingly true to the game. The acting kinda matched with the cheesy voice acting of the original silent hill

As for the gore, it wasn't really that unnecessary. It is a horror film after all... gore is pretty much expected. There wasn't as much compared to the other recent horror releases.

The games are actually much more violent and twisted once you get into it and piece everything together
