This is my first propper attempt at modelling. Its a pistol, looks a bit like a glock. I've UV mapped it and animated it (it has blowback).

Its a work in progress, and the texture I'm using at the moment is super rough, I'm just using it to give an IDEA of the final product, so check out the vid in the link below, and tell me what you think.

BTW, it's also dual weildable, and has muzzle flash and animation for BOTH guns!!

Thanks for all the comments guys. I really appreciate them.

As Higgins said in my Criminal Underworld post, I've been super busy at the mo, but when I get a chance I'll up load some more stuff. I've quietly been working away on a few other weapons recently,
progress.

++glock. 90% just needs texture and brass
++dual glock 90% just needs texture and brass, but crashes during the load. Basically it crashes loading the player weapon, but ONLY if there is an enemy entity on the map. Cant figure out why...crashed ?
++katana. 50%. modelled animated and UV mapped
++Baseball bat. 30% modelled and UV'ed

Im also planning a Tek9 autopistol, sawn off, dual sawn off, and MP5K.

I'm thinking of adding fidget animations, what do you think? Like spinning the pistols after 20 secs.. I'm not really taking requests for weapons, (these are all essential weapons to parts of my game), but I will release them to the community, so I would like suggestions for animations and features.

Finally, I think I can make a working flamethrower. It uses custom flak, (i made an animated fire mesh, with alpha texture), then I tried making the uzi shoot it with a fire loop of like 5000. I figured it would make a constant stream of fire flak, but it doesn't. The game just hangs...any ideas? I'd really like to be the first to make a working flamer, but if I cant overcome the flak problem I cant do it!!

I have the same crashing problem when I use WCS.Bullshock is looking into it.Don't take this the wrong way but thank heavens I am not the only one experiencing this error.I thought I was going crazy...lol.

As I said, the models are from my game, and yes they do have to have hands, but if you have a modelling program, you could delete the arms and retain the gun's animation (I made the hand and the gun autonimous)

Well, I modelled the width with reference to my USP, and it was about that width. I played around with the width, and didn't like it fatter. But I think I'll make a fatter version, with the handle back a bit too.

I have that crash problem too, but the one I'm having with the dual glocks isn't from WCS, (im not making the guns in WCS im doing it manually). The prog crashes at loading test game, if I have an enemy entity in the map and the double glocks equiped at the start.

It's my own sound set.
Would you like it? I can post it for you if you want. I have a swat one too, with a radio static effect..

The katana is finished too (not propper texture yet), will post a video tomorro. it's too late now. need to work out how to do three damages with one attack animation...

Sure i love your gun its nice i love the blowback reminds me of my gun good times good times and that the duels are cool reminds me of counter strike or syphon filter good job what program you use?

and how did you make them with those sounds like what program u use? the video was a big influence for me

It's animated, modelled and UV mapped in maya 6.5

The dual glack uses 2 square polys textured semitransparent, so there's two muzzle flashes

Sounds were done in reason (there are so many free plugins and effects). The gun shots are drum hits with the bass/treble filtered. The moans etc are me, but timestretched deeper, and with a bit of reverb, so that it sounds like it's indoors.

oh thats cool cause for my game LucidNightmare theres Demon Nurses i want them to moan when they get hit but how do you make them do it?

i meen like how to change there moans and stuff like how you get them in FPSC

oh duh. sorry. Right, go to the audiobank and theres a folder called something like voices...or people. anyway open that. There'll be a file called player, and some other ones. copy one of the stock ones and rename it to your new name. then open the folder. inside should be
appear
hurt 1, 2, 3
final moan
and some others.

change these sounds to whatever ones you want.
hurt 1,2,3 are played when you shoot the enemy (it picks a random one each shot)
Final moan, is what the do when they die.

now, right click a character in the editor to get their properties, then go to sound set. You cannot pick the folder, so simply type the name of your new soundset (the name you gave to the folder) into the box and accept changes.

OH you can also edit the player sounds to get rid of that crappy hiss noise when you get hit and change it to a human moan.

I have some WICKED zombie sounds. Check bak here tomorro, I'll post swat, human and zombie in a new thread.

It's a video of a baseball bat weapon, a working dual glock ( i sorted the bug), a katana, and in a minute I'll be adding a sawnoff shotgun.

thisis just a preview of the models and animations...the textures and sounds are goingto be done later (the arm and hand UVs are universal) so I can batch texture alot of it

Screen shot in next post also shows sawnoff shotgun and zippo lighter and aerosol flamer. (the hands on the zippo need MUCH work.. infact I might start over with that one!!)

@Doom. The links work fine for me; we haven't been down since we started (that I'm aware of). Could you try one more time?

3DS Max and Photoshop are pretty standard for game developers; they'll take quite a bit of learning, but there's plenty of help on the net for both. If you can afford them (around $4,000 together) both, I say go for it.

lol. I know everyone wants dual weildable and melee.
These are only my first attempts at propper modelling, so If I sell it wont be too much. Im thinkin to include most in higgins' media pack, but I still have to check with him.

So yeah.. should be free. I'll texture next week, should be out by the end of may at the latest. (I still have to make ammo entities and vweaps)
