Hi guys,

for those who take the long hard and painful process of painting the faces of their character models faces, i have decided to start face painting aswell as cloth, later.

so i made my first attempt today, and im actually quite satisfied, seeing as it is my first EVER attempt at drawing a face using just brushes, not even a tutorial to help, and i actually found it quite easy

i want to know your comments, dont expect an amazing face texture, as it is my first painting with photoshop

i can see alot of smudges and places where i could add further detail and wrinkles, aswell as facial features, but i found this quite interesting as my first result

im quite proud, lol. hopefully when i get more detailed i can make some nice characters

EDIT:

done some touchups:

Looking at it makes my eyes hurt, it has to much blur, it looks ok though.

Your signature has been erased by a mod because it's larger than 600x120...

Not bad. You should try texturing a model with it.

Do you use a tablet, Jon; or is this all done with a mouse?

Looks good, very good for a first try! Hopefully the blur will go away when the picture is shrunk in size.

thanks, ok i just made some touch-ups to the face, and after looking at the new one, and then back to this, it really does make my eyes hurt, lol, heres a comparison...

though there is still room for improvement, and the longer i spend on it, it will get better

i dont know why i chose a rather 'chubby' face, it was kinda being made up as i went along, i might have to try and make my face from a picture soon, lol

I don't know if you try to make a realistic face or a toon face.
I'm a cartoonist myself, and I like your work very much .
