For you guys who are into custom textures, I highly recomend
DDS Converter 2. It's a great viewer that coverts from .dds to .bmp,.jpg or .tga and visa versa. It's free and it realy works. After you do a conversion it will shutdown. I haven't figured that one out yet. Just load up again. It's quick. To find it, just Google it as "DDS CONVERTER 2". There might even be a more recent verson. Glad to be of service.

I agree that DDS Converter is great program. Press ''options'' so you can change things like that it doesn't shut down after one convert.
