Its review time!
Okay. so i extracted everything and fired up the EXE and was greated by the standard background and no sound for some reason.
Level 1:
I begin level 1 with the sword. and wondered why i was there in the first place. May i also say that the spash screens were crap (done i paint i bet); the pictures had nothing to do with the story and the wording was bad. Are you english? Objectives are marked by the word "You" (You: Go to the carpark).
Anyway, i found the key and ran upstairs. What met me was a strange bathroom tiled office with a Thug ready to kill me. I disposed of him perhaps a litte to easily (2 slashes = dead) and carried on.
Next, i found a very large bunker-style room with the ever-faithful Evil scientist zombie. This room was too large and mostly pointless because it merely housed a teleporter and a zombie. I went through the teleport to the end-of-level-room which was, agian, an oversized room that looked like a aircraft hanger. Anyway, onwards to level 2...
Level 2:
After another bad loading screen ("Oh no, you've overslept at work and they've locked you it!"), i found myself in a pleasant office type room with compters and...a piano!? A Bed!? A randomly placed crate!? And to top it all off, an army of floppy disks that were pointless. I also got my hands on a python but i still wanted to see how good the sword was so i stuck with that.
I went through a door into a bathroom with another Thug and some over-sized model pack 2 toilets. Also, there were windows...but nothing outside! Was this your intention? I then came up against a dead-end, meaning i had to double back on myself. Then...REVELATION! REVELATION! There's an airvent shaft behind the piano. I crawled inside.
There was a nicely placed body inside and at the other end a room full of stacked decking (i've forgotten its real name). Though it was pointless, i enjoyed hacking it all up even though i nearly blow myself up when i hit two randomly placed artillery shells.
I when down in the lift, disposing of the guy at the bottom then into another medium-sized officey room. Can you explain way Thugs with pistols were throwing grenades? After killing them (and picked up a suitcase full of cash), i moved into another air-vent and crawled through to the end of the level.
Level 3:
I entered a massive room with a generator in one corner and i load of poorly placed animated sprites. Thanks, you've made me want to buy the pack but it just seamed pointless. I found a lift and wnet upstairs onto the "roof" on the building. Two Thugs with assault-rifles shot me with pistol sound effects. Weird...
After running across the roof, admiring the rain splatter sprite and wondering "whats a spot-light down here", i moved into a room with zombies that made assault-rifle sounds, but weren't holding anything!
Down some steps, there was a strange room holding nothing more than a drinks machine and meat-cleaver-weilding zombie. Then, it was out onto the roof again where the level ended.
Level 4:
This was as far as i got. Not becuase of poor playing or unbearable levels but because of an error message that automatically shutdown the game. So, unfortunatly, my adventure ended...
Overview
This game get my approval because it doesn't lag...at all, which is very good (especailly considering the number of huge rooms you had). However, the level design was pretty average and the entities used were just weird (piano in an office; Only for beethoven) and alot of the sprite weren't placed right. It was also pretty linear and didn't offer many chalenges so, combining all of these, i can give this game i score of
3/10. This might sound bad but remember that i'm a tough critic and it pretty much takes Call of Duty 2 to get in the 9's.
Hope that helped,
AE
