I finally got a nonstock charcter in game but the animation doesnt quite match up and so at time she looks disjointed. oh well, almost good enough.

My next question is how do I texture her for fpsc? I tried making the textures in milkshape but I need .tga of bmp files to wrap them with for fpsc. Any suggestions?

"but the animation doesnt quite match up"

butter, i think this answers it

anyway, good job, if im not mistaken, your only problem is really the skeleton wich isn't really set up correctly, making it so it looks liek that during animations

keep up the good work

My love is seperated in 2 parts, 1 of them is 3ds Max 7, the other; FPSC.

But thats the thing. it seemed to match up in milkshape but once the animations start things can get a bit messed up.

well first does the fpe scale it? because i think that it enlargens the model but not the skeleton.try and import it into fragmotion and then export into .x with it that worked 4 me

I have learned the error of my ways>

Here is the lessons of the wonky chick

1. Save your work often when 3d modeling.
2. be careful when you rotate bones!

So i have reverted back to an earlier version as to make one that doesnt need a telethon.

So here is the updated and as you can see she is still a bit warped.

She is no longer a piccaso and is now more of a Dali.

Any idea of where Ive gone wrong?

I got it figured out. I fouled up the rigging and had to redo it.Shes looking pretty good now.

So now she needs a texture, how does one go about that? Are there any free or almost free tools that work?

You cant change the skeleton in milkshape after it is animated or it will get all messed up. If you want to keep the animation correct and change the skeleton import your milkshape file to fragmotion, edit the skeleton in there, then export back to milkshape.

If you are using the milkshape skeleton use the one where I corrected the firespot or you will get a backwards gun. http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=78553&b=24&p=0

thanks dennis I thought that I twisted or otherwise goofed up a hand that was why the gun faced backwards.

I guess I have to redo with the new animation, but there will be no more in game suicide attempts
