Is there a key for making an input appear where you can type in a message like "I'm here" or "Lets go" or any sentence you need to tell the other person? As in other online games.

The easiest thing is to have skype going, that way you can talk to you friend.

Also you might want to try making a virtual network using a program at www.hamachi.cc

I think once the network is formed you can send text each other using that software.

There already is a function to talk to others in Multiplayer. Just press T and type what you want to say, then press Enter to send it.

I have a multiplayer game which is finished maybe we could play some time. just send me an e-mail and i will send you the exe. This map has a 4 player capability. If anyone wants to play let me know i might want to sell it but for now i will give you one for free.
