Here's a Drill I just made for FPSC its animated and has sound effects also, its free for commercial use,
I want to thank Terry(Just One old Man) for giving me the sound effect file. tell me what you think, I'm going to try and make this into a weapon also using Bullshock W.C.S. if possible,

Edit, Its now a Cordless 24 volt Drill

So it animates when its lying/sitting on the floor?
Thats great for horror games, then the player can think:"wheres the dude that was using that?!"

Can we expect more such model's from your 'job'? As for making it into a weapon I can try and do it for you if you wish to free some of your time?

Sure Go ahead, That would be great Talairina, ya I'm going to make more tool models also, I actually had this model made for a while but I had to put it on hold because I upgraded my motherboard, CPU and Video card and I ordered all the parts online, I just go all the parts and got my PC up and running again so I finished this one off real quick,

I don't know if this will effect you when your making the drill into a weapon but the actual animation sequence is from 0 to 260, I forgot to change it in the fpe file, I originally made the animation go from 0 to 300 but had to change it to 0 to 260 so it would be in sync with the sound effect wav file,
It’s been works fine in FPSC right now even though its still at set at 300 that’s why I haven’t changed the download

Ill see what I can do with the animation but with you saying that it works fine that way it shouldent be much of a problem weapon wise.

Anyway Ill set to work on it now. Do you want me to send you it completed so you can release it or shall I just place it in this thread and credit you for the model and everything else.

Tal

Edit: Stumbled into a problem. Are you able to swing the drill 90 degress in the .x file and send me it please? I cant align the weapon correctly due to its current facing.

The animation needs fixing. It now spins verticaly. Load it up and have a look. It looks like its just one piece of the animation thats doing it as the key lock section (The part the bit fits into) seems to be revoloving fine. Its just the bit itself. Once the animation is sorted and i have the new file ill send you the finished weapon

Here is the fixed .x file for the drill weapon, I had to reanimate it because the drill chuck and the bit were turning in opposite directions on the last change.
I found that max screws up the animation some times when you rotate or turn the model after the animation was created for it , its has done this to me before on the animated bar I made. oh well.
It's fixed now hopefully for the last time

Edit: Changed Cordless Drill.X file with 90 degree turn with 3 animations to make a drill weapon for you Tal!

Great thats perfect. Now to get WCS EA to write the gunspec correctly. It keeps messing up the variables and not showing the gun in the right postion in the player's view. Mind you it took me age's to get it to even produce files for the drill. Better go and inform Bullshock. Ill keep at this till I get right. Hopefully Ill have it to you within the next 30 minutes to an hour.

Good One Keith!
I just made the drill more real, I made it into a cordless version with 24 volt battery pack on the bottom of the handle. I'll post it in a little bit.

Tal, I changed the Drill to a Cordless Drill, I made a X file of it with a 90 degree turn for you so you could use that one instead,

I also made a battery pack model for Ammo refills

Tal, I just made another animation for the drill weapon .X file, so it now has three, I think this will be the last change.
Frames 0 to 260 start run normal.
Frames 263 to 330 unload and load battery.
Frames 340 to 500 run with shaking effect for contact with enemies or objects.

again I updated the file above.
