make sure you dont have any other network connection trying to run, go to my network places and disable thoes you do not need.

turn off your computer, (not yet) and reboot your modem, wait for a short while, then restart your computer.

Milk@ that is very malicious, if it were up to me, I would ban you for a stunt like that.

You would have not fell for that stupid post, so best to let it go.

I had the same problem, but with wireless, kept on kicking me off the network, I disabled the other networks, and all is well so far. I also found out that it could be a loose connection from your cable provider, how true this is, not too sure.

if you have a wireless home phone near the wireless router , just move it away as they can cause grief as well.

If no-one gives your an answer to a question you have asked, consider:- Is your question clear.- Did you ask nicely.- Are you showing any effort to solve the problem yourself 

I also read that if you have a cable modem and wirless router too close, this can affect your network.

I had that problem myself, if you hace a cd wth drives on it, and a wireless configuration utility that comes with the card try this, it may sound wierd but go for it, take out the card, remove the drivers and any trace of the card from the HD and the regestry, then run the computer for a while, then reinstall the drivers from the cd, and then reinstall the card, worked wonders for me, oh and also right clock on my computer, then goto manage, goto Windows Zero Configuration Utiliy, disable it, because that interferes with things aswell.

hehe. I answered a question vaguely related to this in my exam today. Wireless accesspoints/routers typically work on the 2.5GHz band if they IEEE 802.11b standard, which can suffer from interference from bluetooth, microwave ovens, cordless phones and mobile phones. So never set up your wireless network such that the signal will have to travel through or by any of these devices or anything else that operates on 2.5Ghz (or have them switched off). 802.11a or g standard devices operates on 5Ghz and are less prone to interference.

I had this same problem when I wanted to add wireless G to my home network. I already had a 4port wired set up, so I got the 4 port wired with wirelss g router, I replaced the wired-only one with the new one and started seeing the intermittent "Cable Unplugged" stupidity in my tray. I promptly disconnected that router and went back to the original setup. Then I legged the wirless router to one of the wired ports on the main router, so I could still serve wireless on the network and its all fine, no annoying unplugged messages The main router acts as the internal dhcp server, the second router has it turned off, and gets assigned an ip as do all the other machines (wireless or wired)
