i was wondering if anyone would be interested in testing out the preliminary stages of my isometric rpg engine?

its not finished yet (obviously) but i would like some feedback to see if i am moving in the right direction.

anyone interested please reply to this thread and if i get some response i will release a preliminary demo of my engine.

thanks for your responses

seem to work fine on my machien but i have a mnonster 1.6 ghz and 1 gb ram, ati radon 900

some things, it does suffer slow down at times, i sugest altering the camera draw in distance or ad in fog, or both, and get some wall colision set up.

lol i left the collision out on purpose as im still testing my levels

but for the fog it is on at 1350 distance, i tested theat extensively and thats where it looks good and doesnt make the whole screen black

for the camera would you suggest making the camera distance just a little more than the fog??

EDIT: my specs
P3 550 Mhz
320 Mb Ram
64Mb Geforce 4 MX

peronally what id do is make the fog off black, grey even and bring it in right to your hero, do a similar thign with the camera, dont give the player a lot of room to see unles they get say a helment of sight wich increases their "perception" camera/fog range

unfourtuneately because of the angle the camera is on, if i make the fog come right up to the player, it obscures almost the whole screen

unless there is a way to set the fog opacity... any ideas?
