I don't know... It's just cool. Fun to look at I guess, and much more memorable. The one with the beanie was the best though.

I'm never trust anyone really that I haven't known for a while. Like they said check out their company details and get everything in writing as stated.

Quote: "but if they don't want people telling you(if this is the case) who he is, then they're probably not to be trusted."

Most of the time yes. If they do know a publisher though, they are probably picky and don't want 1000 people messaging and emailing them to say please hook me up.

GeeCee3, loving that landscape! What's it made in?

Sunrise 3D - I'll just be honest and say that what you are getting offered is too good to be true. I suspect somebody is trying to be funny.

Cash Curtis - your shadow code is on the way tommorrow, sir.

Thing is, Vues pwns Bryce anyway - I like bryce for calculating terrain colour maps from heightmaps, but actually trying to mould terrain is a pain in the butt.

I mean, look at what Vues can do...

http://www.creative-3d.net/GalleryDisplay.cfm?ID=16868

It seems to have a more realistic edge, I haven't used it in a few versions, but I remember the awesome fractal tree generation, like those tree's there are all different, Vues is a big French monster of an application.

I used to be an avid fan of Vue, but It's not as stable for me as bryce, vue tends to pop up free on magazines quite regular as an older version, i think i'll try it again.

the uberdaddy of all landscape packages is without a doubt pandromeda's Mojo World, it leaves everything else eating dust. but its damn intensive on your hardware, and a tad expensive, but it is on the hit list as a must have before the year is out.

Hi all,
I've just been talking to Sunrise and he seems to think I'M the member who can't be mentioned....

@Sunrise 3D
Is this some kind of joke? Believe me kid, I have no intention of offering to publish anything from anybody, nor do I know anybody who does. If this is a joke then I seriously suggest you think about what you’ve done. I like to think most people here don’t have anything against me. For you to barge in and say that I’ve spent the best part of last week fooling around trying to get you to believe I’m a software publisher really rattles my cage.
If this is all some misunderstanding then that’s fine, I accept these things happen. But if it’s a joke don’t for one second think we’ll all be laughing about it a few days from now. I’ve spent a long time on this forum, and I’ve enjoyed my time here, I don’t need you waltzing around making me out to be someone I’m not.

This isn’t the first time someone had tried this on a forum I’ve been a member of (Musashi can vouch for the goings on at the SCT/Rush forums) and I’m certainly not laughing.

EDIT:: He also thinks he's going to get TGC to publish it. One cucumber sandwich short of a picnic if you ask me.

Here's to the crazy ones.

Soapyfish Remeber this?you gave my e-mail to the person

Dear Chris,
Simon has just got off the phone with me and it is
obvious there are some points that need to be highlighted. When I told
you about getting a few thousand pound with 80% that was an example.
We will not make any complete offers until we have seen a working demo
of the product and even then we will not make a final offer until the
product is finished.
Simon is a respected member of the game creators community and it
would do nothing but tarnish his reputation if you revealed he was the
member in question. Personally I have no problem with you mentioning
my name on the game creators website, but please refrain from posting
my e-mail address. Just as long as it turns out okay for Simon. He has
been a personal friend of many years and I would hate for him to be
'found out' by the community.
You can post any information from this e-mail (including the name
'Simon' I have okayed it with him) on the game creators website but
please refrain from quoting the entire message. I have found that
doing so would encourage people to scan the message and come out with
confused opinions.
Thank you
Lauren Holman.

Sunrise it seems soapyfish has pulled a fast one on you.

While ordinarily such a joke is funny I think the protracted length of this saga, and soapyfish's aversion to admitting to the joke (nice one with the sarcy comment) certainly make the situation look rather juvenile.
