It came out yesterday on NDS and I got my copy today. It's pretty awesome, it has that retro feel with the 2-d side scrolling but it's got lots of cool 3d graphical effects... They've done a fantastic job with all the cool new stuff that they've added, plus they put in TONS of secrets to find, just like the classic

Anyone else pick it up?

Yes It hopefully arrives today at EB so I can pick it up. I preordered it already and am foaming at the mouth to play.

This will be the game that shuts the mouths of all the PSP fanboys.

I'm going to be getting it asap, but unfortunately that doesn't look like it will be until this weekend.

I've been watching this since it was first anounced.

No. I didn't pick it up. I haven't got a Nintendo DS.

You know those other handheld consoles like a gameboy, but came out afterwards... The Advance!!!

I haven't got one of those either...

It's 34.99 new here in the USA.

Definitely worth the money, I'm on world 3 now but there's oh so many levels I know I've missed out on

Yah, just like the original SMB for the NES you can beat the game in a few hours, but uncovering all of the levels and secrets can take a lot longer

I know I know, I'd have the same look if someone posted that about me. I don't know, you were like an employee at Wal Mart, and I don't know, it was very weird, you had brown skin or something..
I don't know, it was stupid of me to post that anyway.. Sorry to scare you.

Actually I believe BearCDP is correct--- it has two 'n's in there if I'm not mistaken.

And it's pronounced Cone Knee Chee Wah, but really fast.

Quote: "Anyway, so what's Drew is Japanese"

You really don't want to know. Because they can't pronounce the 'r' sound in your name, it would probably be something like Dudu (pronounced Doodoo).

My buddy, Daryl, would be pronounced Dahdeedoo. Butchered.

Well, good thing my real first name isn't Drew, Drew is just short for my middle name, but I'm used to everyone calling me that.
So what's David in Japanese, it should be easier to pronounce, lol.

Yes, if you want to get really technical though it's "konnichiha" since for this word and when used as a particle, "wa" is written as the syllable "ha".

Yes, it's written ha but pronounced wa. Particles are the most confusing aspect of Japanese. Once you can get past that, the rest is just memorization

Oh yeah, and the New Super Mario Bros. is freaking sweet. I'm in World 3 and have something like 44 lives.

Particles? Is japanese some sort of programming language then?
The one benafit of having a boring name. Mark. Anyone can say it. Even the Fench.

Hey, I just got it!!!!

It is teh UBER.

First world went so quicklly I got afraid the game wouldn't last me the day. But then I got to the second level and knew I was wrong. Soooo many ways to play a level.... Trashing the entire map as huge mario is awesome.

Mini games are kinda a disapointment, but the main game is cram-packed enough for it not to matter. Oh yes, some of the easiest boss battles ever... But still, an unbelivebly good platformer. No one does platforming like Nintendo.

Yea, if you just play through it not finding any secrets you can beat it pretty quick(I've finished the game already) but I still haven't unlocked one world, and there's tons of levels I missed while playing through. Fantastic game
