Hi everyone, the second episode of The Milk Paton Show - Milk Paton and The Terrorist Arrows, is now online at http://www.MilkPaton.com - it's about twice the length of last month's one. We thought we'd try and do something a bit different from what people might have expected for the second episode - whether or not it's succesful, I'll leave up to you! We have faced more problems than you would believe in real life and in the editing room getting this finished, but it's finally out the door.

Next episode coming June 25th. Any comments etc.. on this one would be welcome! Thanks!

You guys must have been on some serious dose to come up with "terrorist arrows".

The part with the the geometric storyteller talking with other guy was too funny.

Abit wierd and funky of a series, but I like it.

That bit actually reminded me of dangermouse, where the narrator goes off into his own little world, get told off, fired etc.

No idea what dangermouse is, but the second guy was funny as hell.

There was a SWAT team in the episode. SWAT Team - Navy SEALs, it's all the same.

Maybe you can imagine it was a team of Navy SEALS who got owned.

An awesome british cartoon that isn't made anymore, but has humour for both younger and older audiences, and a lot of its humour was based on the idea of bad jokes. Well its basically about the world's greatest secret agent mouse and his sidekick Penfold. In the UK it can be caught on cartoon network's Boomerang

I found a fan site on google http://www.clubdm.com/

An imagination can go quite far, like for me, Navy Seals are seals doing a the village people cover for YMCA and In the Navy...thats put me off of seals, at least I have whales left..

WHAT! How can you say that. Navy SEALs never get owned by arrows, I mean, no offence, but that's just plain stupid to think that.

Anyway, I just got done watching it.. Here's my comments

-It wasn't funny, and if you thought it was, you're weird
-Scotish people laugh and cuss funny
-It needs more people, instead of all 5 of you guys.
-Oh yeah, that background guy yelling at the triangle had a funny accent, that was like the best part of the whole vid.

Great job I suppose

Thats a Scottish accent

Quote: "-Scotish people laugh and cuss funny"

So do Americans, French people, Germans and Chinese people...Heck I think the American laugh is much funnier than a Scottish one
By insulting the Scottish accent, some stereotypical Glaswegians would knife ye

Quote: "-It wasn't funny, and if you thought it was, you're weird"

I know I am weird, but sense of humour varies, like people think ctrl + alt + del comics are hilarious, I don't laugh one bit, and some people I know don't, and who are you to judge people because of their sense of humour.

Quote: "WHAT! How can you say that. Navy SEALs never get owned by arrows, I mean, no offence, but that's just plain stupid to think that."

Sounds like to me you think the Navy Seals are the best thing out there, but thats not the point, it seems to me the arrows are complete randomness. Killer arrows I think is a great concept, as monsters are getting stupider and stupider (which reminds me of a Family Guy sketch where Stephen King is writing his novel about a killer lamp)

You betcha. You may be delighted to hear that the backgrounds for the scientist and SWAT bit, and the arrows themselves were made in Dark Basic - it's good for more than just games. Wayhay!

Thanks man. To be honest I'm not pleased with how this episode came out, but I am pleased with the CG, so it's nice somebody appreciates it!

I never actually wanted to do Milk Paton's voice like that, but everyone else wanted it to stay. It annoys me too. Alot. That's why Paton has hardly any lines except for at the ending.

Thanks Wigget.

We use this software: Studio 9 >> http://www.pinnaclesys.com/publicsite/us/Products/Consumer+Products/Home+Video/Studio+Family/Studio+version+9.htm

Studio 9 is extremely pish, and it's only got 2 video layers and 2 audio layers, but it's cheap.

We use Windows Media Video export, I don't know what exact codec and stuff it is > have a look at the Video properties if you download the episode to get the resolution and bit rate and stuff.

Nice work man. Amusing stuff. Some nice original little elements in there, like Patons voice. I like the mixture of stills combined with full motion at the same time. Different. Good work.

Haha. "You pointy f*ck". I liked it when he stuck the terrorist in the microwave. "Die bitch!" Good stuff.

Yeah, the voice changes for Milk were terrible. I kept expecting the rhythem to settle down, but it never did.

I enjoyed it.

The voice was OK, and I loved the story! The only thing I DON'T like is the near constant profanity. I don't mind it a whole lot, but my family would eat me, and I have to make sure like everyone is out of the room when I watch it. I also like the difference in between what they say and what is in the subtitles. ROFL, I thought the arrows were like pointy sticks shot from a bow, not...directional arrows! Are you going to break a piece of electronics every show?

Your goose is cooked.

Yeah sorry about the swearing - we had all been watching this guy during the last month: http://www.tourettesguy.com Less to no swearing next month.

Yes we plan to break a piece of electronics every episode. It's another computer next month (a tower one), then a radio, after that... who knows!

Swearing is funny yeah (Trailer Park Boys!) The swearing wears thin I think.

The only bit in either episode that I find funny is:

"Yeah we.. defeated Terrorism!"
"Wayhay"

Not to like talk up my own joke or anything. It's not even a joke, but it just tickles my funny bone...

Well mate, I didn't actually laugh at all, but I still found it amusing. You're not gonna make everyone laugh - especially us older monkies. But you succeeded in keeping me entertained and amused with the characters and plot so that's good stuff. I actually found the security guard/swat guys the funniest bit. The guy who was totally unable to speak properly cos he's just too hard for his vocal chords made me chuckle.

K guys, I'll say this once, and will welcome any more debate over e-mail. I object to the bad language not so much for my sake, but for the sake of the many little children in my house. I know little kids; they will say, "Oh what does **** mean?" or worse not ask and randomly use it. Also, of course I know the words, but it still offends me for religious reasons.

DO NOT turn this thread into relgioness.

Oh geez, this is a tough one. Let me have a shot...

How about you just don't watch the bloody movie in front of all these little kids in your house? It isn't that hard.

Creative works don't need to follow any religious codes, if you don't like what you see, then just don't watch.
