Normally I don't post for stuff like that but... since I got my GeForce I wanted to test dual monitor stuffs... well I got a S3 Virge which I placed in the PCI #2 (as in the #1 is WAY too close to the GF and I'm afraid it might overheat) so when I started the first time, fine. Second time the monitor wasn't correctly connected (when moving the case it might have moved, which it did) and it beeped. K, shut it down and connected back. Started... some weird fast beeps o0... okay, shut down, verify... everything's okay! :/ so I turn it on again.... all good, it works and such, but before the boot screen is about to finish in the second monitor (S3) the main one (GF) gets cut in half vertically... black left, orange right, until Windows is started.

Is that good... bad... did I damage the card (Please don't tell me that or I'll kill myself T_T) or should I place the S3 in the PCI #1?

Mainboard's an i815 chipset...

Someone please answer, I'm scared the hell out of me by the orange screen of doom!

Edit: Okaaaaaaay, wait, I just removed the S3... no orange screen of doom! so WTF... =/ I guess I'll test with the slot #1, or if someone could suggest something would be good too - also, the BIOS has two options now, S3 Video Adapter = Primary Device - VGA Adapter = Non-bootable device. Should I use VGA instead of S3?

Edit 2: Well, testing with the slots, #1 was the second test, and it worked perfectly, no orange screens of doom by now... however, I'm worried about this:

The S3 card seems to be very close to the GeForce one... I'm worried the GF might overheat... should I change the S3 to another slot? #1 seems to work what if the others don't?

record it and play it back slow. What i would do is get a computer with a microphone and get a free recorder program like audacity and record it. Then you can look at the sound Waves on the screen and count each time it peaks. Or you could play it back slow lol.

How about guess? I'm sure your motherboard's beeps aren't to complicated to understand.

If you are worried about the over-heating, then get a nVidia card with multiple monitor support, they work fine for me
