Ever since I updated my dark basic pro to version 6 I can't get my media to load. I have a $1500 contract riding on this and it took me so long to get it working and now it won't even load a simple jpg.

well just downgrade to 1.05 (5.9)and and stay that way until your done with the program

You could try to install it again, except this time on the menu select repair, that fixed all of my problems.
