i reasently made a sword in 3ds max 4 and textured and rendered it so that it had a metallic freflective finish, but when i export it to use in dbpro there are no textures on it and the sword is no longer shiny. what am i doing wrong?

Textures on 3ds don't work yet in DBP. Use .x format.

get milkshape 3d and convert ur 3ds model into .x format !
then u will be able to load the textures !
