In what seems like my endless saga of badluck, my desktop started to act up the other day. First, the display would'nt turn on when it had been turned off. This, as anoying as it was, I dealt with. However, about 3 days ago, my computer did it again, so I flicked the powerswitch off, turned on my computer, and there it was, a garbled display(By this I mean no trace of the windows logon on screen or anything before it, Just some colored blocks with distorted pixels here and there). So here I am, on my last computer, a backup which is incredibly slow. Before I go blow my money on a repair job, Could anyone here help me potentialy save my wallet? Thank you in advance,

Jase

So what are your computers specifications? And how much are you paying for the repair job?

I have no idea what the repair job will cost, and Im afraid I havent a clue about the specs, was all in the computer Im afraid. However, is it possible for video cards to just fail like this? As thats what I suspect the problem to be. And if so, are the cheap to buy and easy to replace?

Yea you can get a card for around 15-30 dollars that will play games too LOL. Check Newegg.com for 0-25$ video cards
