How many polies?

It looks like you've subdivided it too much...

In terms of shape, it looks okay. I model everything in anim8or (including guns) and i know the tools so i can understand how hard in it to begin with. However, anim8or can't wrap textures (UV map=yes, Wrap=No) and the animations you make can't be exported.

I looked at anim8or but I could never see how to get them into fpsc. How do you export or import .x files?

Or do you have to make them .3ds (or something) first, then change them?

Nice gun.

DB converter turns you .3ds files into .X

Then its just a matter of getting it ready in entity creator,

Suggestion:

It seems you made the gun out of one objec. I suggest that you make all your gun parts separately. It will be much nicer then, and it's more easy. After that, you connect all parts and it would be ready for export

Its because you've subdivided the grip to make it look smooth. I don't do that becuase it is a waste of polies.

Check out my un subdivided grip Luger:

742 faces (polies)

because, if you have hands you'll never see the grip anyway!!
