Here's a model of a printer I made for FPSC it’s modeled after my HP laser jet, It's animated with sound effects, when you press enter the printer pulls a piece of paper into the printer the comes out the bottom with a message that you can customize to suite your needs just open the image map in photo shop or paint shop and change the writing in the white box in the map. This model is free for commercial or non commercial games.

UPDATE: I just fixed the animation, the paper was not coming out of the bottom slot the right way, sorry! you have to download it again!

Wow, this is great stuff! Not only do the models look good, and they're animated...but your ideas are original as well. Great work on this and the desk, Martin.

Thank you Guy's, I appreciate the compliments,
Ya your text is on the backside of the paper when the paper is on the top of the printer when you press enter the piece of paper flips inside the printer so you only see your text when it comes out.

UPDATE, I can't believe I didn't notice this earlier, The paper was not coming out of the slot on the bottom the right way so I just fixed it, the download link at the top of this page has already been updated, I’m sorry guy's I was tired when I finished this last night and I had to resize the model because it was to small and when I did it messed up the animation. So you'll have to download it again.

@ Liz
open the image map (printer.tga) file up using photo shop or paint shop etc. there will be a white box with the text you see in the picture above erase that text the put your own in place of it then save the image map with the same name (printer.tga), then delete the printer.dbo and printer bin file and your done, the next time you use it it will have your text.

Hey Guy's I just made this model of a portable generator tonight, I animated it so it shakes like its running and sound but I'm working on getting the sound and animation to loop continuously, as soon as I figure it out I'll post it,

Ok, when I installed this and put the desk in a test room, I went up to it and press Enter, and nothing happened. Is there a certain script that I need so that this AND the tents work? Because im having the same problem with the tents. Great work, BTW.

Press enter a couple times, it should line up with the top of the desk, also make sure your directly over the desk sometimes when your using the editor it looks like your over something but your actually not because of the view angle.

Thanks Bloodeath, ya I made a cordless drill that I wanted to make into a weapon, I've also bought bullshocks WCEA program and have been tiring to make it into a weapon using that but I keep getting errors when I try to make it into a weapon, I'm waiting for him to release the update with the fixes before I try it again

Mr useless, you can turn the collision off by adding coloff to the end of the generator script in the scriptbank folder. this will let you get as close as you want.
:state=0:animate=1,plrdistwithin=10:state=1,loopsound=audiobank\Generator\Generator.wav,coloff

Thanks again for the feedback SUICID3, I'm still alive and I check the forum when I get a chance, I haven't had a chance lately to make any more new models because I just had a new baby boy 9lb.14 oz. recently and work has been really busy also, hopefully I'll be able to make some new animated entities this fall or winter.

The Hacker of Hell, I use 3ds max for all my models and I'm self taught meaning that I've read books and watched a bunch of video tutorials on just about every topic on how to use max, most of which I downloaded off the web for free including bond1's rigging a character tutorial. The best way to learn max in my opinion is using video tutorials.
