I know we probably arent in the highest demand, as this is a programming forum, but I am willing to help code in XHTML, CSS, PHP, and AJAX (and help design your mysql tables). I can assure XHTML 1.0 strict compatibility, CSS 2.1 compatiblity, cross browser support (For Mozilla based browsers, Opera, and IE), PHP 4.41 or PHP 5.1 codding, and mysql 4.1 or mysql 5 support.

For coding experience, I have a homemade forum I was going to use for all of my sites, but the graphics designer dropped through after the theme for one site... Attached is the source and images of the board.

I cant make any *good graphics*, but I can make the simpler ones. Yes I know how sloppy the source for the forum is, but I wasnt intending for public use, and I can read it. I will make sure for everything to be readable for the future.

I made this request because I am getting a new job soon (hopefully), and I would like more stuff for my coding portfolio.

A okish example of a good backend is the site: type12.com. I spent 2 hours making it, and still did an ok job. The guy never contacted me afterwords to tell me any more info on what he wanted, so I never debugged it, or anything, but that would be a base for meh uber skillz

I need 9 more sites people, I have made a site for Saikoro , so anyone else?

KTHX!

You would have to give more info than that. Contact me at webmaster@darkgamestudio.net and give me details on the project, such as what the project is, whats already done, and what needs to be done, what languages are needed, ect, or just post that here

So are you looking for paid work or just willing to help people out with their sites?

I can do graphics but no code, and you can do coding but not graphics so...

Most of us (like me) can code like no tomorrow, but have trouble with the graphics design part. I took a look at your forum code, and it looks pretty good. It's certainly not my coding style, but it looks like a good start on a forum.

Good luck with your job, etc.

Megaton, I'll have to contact you sometime soon when I'm ready for some cool graphics. [shameless self promotion]You can see an example of my skillz at http://www.rlights.com/rlcommerce/ That's a WIP of a website I'm working on. It's almost ready to go live [/shameless self promotion]

It actually works pretty well, but I never finished it when the graphics designewr left. I was working on the beta 2 (php 5) upgrade, which was a complete source rewrite, but I shall not post it as there are only 4 pages complete, and the mysql database design I used for it is badly made (never finished it fully). What do you mean not your coding style? And as I admit many can code php quite well, but if anyone wants help on a project, or, like megaton, is coding impaired, then feel free to contact me about it, but as such I cant find anywhere *good* to post this that I know...

Just the way you lay your code, and the organization of it. There's nothing really wrong with your code; I just don't layout my code that way is all. I'm sure there are plenty of people around who could use some help on their website.

My code organization is sketchy at best. If it exists it is pretty bad, but I only intended it for minor public release until beta 3 which would have been completely xhtml, css 2.1, and php 5.1 compliant, but only got to beginning beta 2!

Hey guys! For the most part I finished the first site, which is saikoro's. I have all the code and such done, but I still need to ask him if he can reslice the images (it isnt expandedable in many points, and that is not a bulletproof design, but he would need to redesign the template a bit

his site: http://darkgamestudio.net/saikoro

oops, just realised that saikoro's site isnt valid css, need to change it real quick...

edit: fixed, now completely compliant. I use the scroll bar because it wont widen because of how his template is sliced, and I will discuss it to him tommorrow, because I hate it too

edit: working on making it bigger

I am basically done with saikoro's design and everything, it looks nice even with stupid clipping scroll bar, and I just need to make his admin control panel (pretty simple for his site..). I need 9 more sites for my portfolio people!

Great job steve =) he pretty much got that whipped together in about 2 days, and just about everything is done with it Just wish I had made the template bigger, but oh well. Nice job, and thanks again.

The CSS doesn't validate for me - but still, nice design and site!

It could be a touch bigger....
