No I found a way to make it work, I just figured out that I just need the model to be lying on the floor so when I pick it up and then switch to it the crosshair (light) appears! Thanks to Nigazu

It's my pleasure to help you guys.

I've been thinking about this too. It would be cool to have flashlight as a weapon.

Something went wrong I guess.

i have done this before, i got the flashlight model and put it in the place of a gun, then set the fireloop to 1, so when you click and hold there is a constant (or near enough) source of light from the player.

though the torch didnt show up some reason, and the light given off wasnt enough...

yeah i did the same, modeled a new flashlight with hands and made the fireloop 1 but it didn't work because you can never make the muzzleflash lighting constant. would maybe work if you had a candle?!

short of modelling the beam in 3D I dont think flashlights are an option. I think making the light in the HUD looks too budget.

I could make model for flashlight, but someone else should texture and animate it and make it FPSC ready.

I would make the assumption that "Weapon Creator" would be your best friend in a case like this.

After all, the model is already there (included with FPSC), it's simply that you need the ease to get the model in there, as well as the ability of the crosshair--and it's that simple, the crosshair, as I think has been stated, is all you need. That said, it's really a "faux flashlight", because it won't actually help you see in pitch black.

Basically, you make a semi-transparent, yellow *.tga, and then use that as the crosshair. It won't light up the dark, but if there's enough light there, it will give the illusion of that.

Didn't Conjured have some form of flashlight? Maybe I'm wrong, but I seem to remember some form of "beam" being in the "Hunt for Osama".

Supah gamer, this is a very old thread, and take it from someone who has tried to use the same method as jon, it is not effective AT ALL. using the muzzle flash dynamic light to simulate a flashlight looks almost worse than a hud.
