Do any of you guys know of any software that would act similar to Steam? That is, it has a list of all your games, and you can launch any of them from that menu?
Thanks

I'm not who you think...

GameJackal may have a feature like that included with it but I'm not sure.

Xfire, Gamespy arcade... they both do it. Although I think it might only be for online games.

I have the desktop icons for all of my games neatly arranged into separate folders (by genre) in a "games" folder on my desktop... I'm not important enough to care about saving an extra click or two's worth of time when gaming... in fact, I don't think anyone is jk

xFire does it along with a bunch of non-online games I think. Plus it has a playing tracker and an instant messaging service, so it's pretty neat.

Why not just create a games section on your start menu with shortcuts to all your games.

It's called the Start Menu and, yes, it's very pretty.

I like the Start Menu too... very convenient, easily accessible But I think people don't want to physically click and drag their programs anywhere nowadays. Who can have the time, with an ipod to listen to, a cell phone to talk on, and homework to finish on the internet

bugger just a start menu.

go hard-core and make a user on your windows box dedicated to gaming like i do on my mac.

that way your not loading all the nonsense you would normally require.

This way the machines sole dedication can be focused on the game you run at hand.

If you want to get really hardcore strip out even more nonsense at OS startup in this gaming account.
