Hi all,

I have managed to borrow 3DS Max 3.1 and am running it in the 30 day trial period. However I cannot seem to save models as .x files. I have got the plugin from microsoft and told 3DS about the plugin directory - However i still can't save as/export to .x .

Where am I going wrong??

Cheers,

Matt

I didn't know there was plugin...

Personally, I export as .3ds and then send it through Microsoft's stand-alone converter - Conv3ds.exe.

There should also be a program in DB's 'tools' directory that contains a converter as well. However, in DBClassic (not sure about Pro), anything converted won't have animation data in the .x file.
