Did anybody else see that? If you didn't, you really have to, it was insane. Locke is a robot! Not really. Seriously, see it, it was awesome. Of course, it only brought up more questions, while the commercials promised to answer some of our questions. Oh well.

Then don't click the link that says "The Last Episode of Lost Season 2"

I missed it tonight, but I'm hoping that my friend taped it, so I can get a shot at it =)

What if I want to find out what people thought of the episode (and hence, whether it was worth watching), without actually having it ruined for me?

It's Lost, it's always worth watching it. I'm guessing you haven't been watching it, otherwise you'd never ask 'worth watching' about Lost .

To be honest I wouldn't like to see it before the other episodes, it's kinda vital that you know what's been happening so far. There is Reckoning, which is the recap episode - but that's far from ideal.

You can watch it online at ABC.com.
The quality is actually good. I watched a missed episode of another show like that.

As for the last night's episode: AWESOME

It did answer a lot of questions and linked a lot of things together even more. All of the questions that were answered though have been replaced by BIGGER questions. Complete craziness....

Haha, I did my best to avoid spoilers .

As for ABC.com, I didn't know you could watch it there! Guess I'll check it out.

I watched the whole Mighty Boosh series online on BBC.COM - 'tis the future .

Deliberately low quality so you still buy the DVD though.

I think they have the previous 4 or 5 weeks available to watch. It is currently free. I think they intend to get people hooked on the convenience of it, then someday use it as a pay-per-view system. It also has a LOT less commercials

We actually have this cool service from Telewest (cable TV, phone and broadband provider) in the UK, where you login and watch programmes that you've missed, like a whole weeks worth of you favourite soap, a retro series from the 80's, Discovery channel stuff, movies - etc etc. It's not always free, but very cool to just have this stuff waiting for you to want to watch it. I think that's the way things will go, part of our TV subscriptions, we'll basically be watching programmes when it suits us before long. The quality on that service is the same as the usual TV package, no loss of quality at all.

It almost makes me not hate Telewest as much, almost. Is that basically what TIVO does in the US?

That was a hypothetical question to show that there's a legitimate reason to read the thread but to not want to see the spoilers. I have been watching the series, I think we're about halfway through Season 2 down here.

I can't stand lost...

*ducks from flying objects*

But on the subject of watching TV programs online, I've seen the whole series of Two Pints and Ideal on bbc.co.uk - great idea!

Everyone that says they don't like Lost have only seen parts of episodes. My friends do this, and they're like "its so stupid, why is there a polar bear on the island lol??" Thats like saying Agent Smith wouldn't have been able to punch through a brick wall in The Matrix because his hand would have broke.

Not realy. On the Matrix Agent Smith didn´t punch through a wall. Being a coder of video games you should know that. But I catch your dwift. Just because something happened that was highly improbable doesn´t mean it ruined the whole series.

Need path finding in your games? Have a look at the tutorials on www.telefonica.net/web2/paskyprog/.

I can second that. A guy I know formed his negative opinion on the show after watching 10 minutes of one episode. (Not even the first episode, something in-between)

That wasn't my point at all. My point was that the person who's watching The Matrix can't think outside of normal reality and just jumps to the conclusion that it doesn't make sense.

Sorry for the bump.

Just watched the final episode now. What is the deal???

Why did they show *spoiler thing* at the very end? Now I have no more Lost to watch I guess.

- Lost rules

I'm thinking Penny is gonna go looking for Desmond, who apparantly is now a solid cast member for series 3 - but that hatch shutdown reveals the islands location somehow and those guys in the arctic are looking for Des, so they call Penny - who is all-of-a-sudden important.

There's a LOT left unsaid, like...

Who in the blue hell was Libby, was she related to the Whitmores, there's something up with that chick.

Who is the leader of the others, it can't be Henry Gale, he's just high up - my money is on Locke's dad.

What did they want with Walt?, is he some sort of natural traveller maybe, there is a lot of literature that points to Walt being used to open a gateway of some sort, like the Dark Tower books by Stephen King... that Walt, and other children can open the gates of hell, and when they do this they appear in places they shouldn't be, soaking wet and talking gibberish just like Walt always was when he 'appeared'.

What is that black smoke?, Mr.Eko calls it the islands eye, I think someone is watching - the black smoke is actually Santa, he knows when your one of the good ones, and leaves you alone, like Locke and Eko who've both looked into the eye of the island and had visions.

Yeah, better stop now, before I use up all my bandwidth posting theories and Lost-related crud . I imagine all the questions will be answered in another 4 or 5 series.

Yeah, know that Quoth - heck even my brother knows that and he's an idiot .

Actually, 108 is a very significant number in a lot of cultures (incl budism, liked to feng shui too), it's actually regarded as the number of the sun - lemme see if I can find a link...

http://koenraadelst.bharatvani.org/articles/misc/why108.html

In the mural in the hatch, you can see that the sun has 108 painted on it. I think it's connected with earth magnetism and solar disturbances, but in what exact way I've no idea.

Its also 6^2 + 6^2 + 6^2!

Quoth - Satellites can go at different speeds, so it's not really that shocking.
