Hi guys I need your help once again!!!

I'm trying to make my first game,(not Space Invaders again)

I can't seem to get the aliens to move down the page, in the way that they should, now I'm getting a bit confused, and I'm not really familiar with all the sprite commands.

Can anyone maybe give me some pointers ? Also what's the best way to create various levels, within a function maybe using case-endcase?

Hope someone can help, Cheers !!!!

Thanks for your advice, I have tried to move the aliens down in a block but for some strange reason sprite/box 14 seems to move out of sync, can anyway explain to me why ? or maybe just my dodgy coding lol

Cant get the attachment uploader to work, is it working properly ?

Don't use the file uploader, use the browse box.

It looks like your problem may be because you are moving your sprites as you test for hitting the screen edge - this means that you are changing direction midway through moving your sprites, which will put them out of sync.

I've got some code I've just updated that you can look at or use if you wish - it just moves the invaders left/right, and down when they hit the screen sides. Press and release the spacebar to speed up the movement, although normally you'd do this when the number i=of invaders dropped below certain levels. Just make sure that the speed is doubled each time, not added to.

Hey thanks for the advice Ian, I will have to take a look at your code in greater depth, cause I don't understand any of it ! lol

That's the beauty of programming, just when you think your getting somewhere, you have to learn something new. Don't you just love it !

Anyway I'll do my best to try and learn what you have suggested.

I still can't seem to upload my original winrar folder, to share with you guys, it's only about 8.5mb, but the uploader will just not accept it, I don't know if anyone else is having trouble, maybe you could try on this thread.

It's not just you - for some reason I can't get anything above 500MB to upload here either.

i got my sprites to move down like so.....

note: well almost, i used variables and so it's much easier to keep track off etc but that's the basic idea there.
