Hi,

im not really an Uber scripter, though in my experience of programming before FPSC i am aware of what does what and the syntax. but one thing has struck me odd, is the default zombie script...

i planned to alter the script for melee so the animation is running rather than limping to you, i done this successfully (and stupidly easy by changing the variable in the zombie script) so then it seemed the only thing holding me back was the speed of the character moving...

the only ideal thing left was the movefore variable, changing this made no, or little difference, so can somebody state what the value of movefore affects, and how i can alter the speed of the movement

sorry for the simple question, a search on movefore returned little

thank you for your time,

-Jon

The only speeds you can select between is movefore and runfore. The value controls how far the entity is going to move.

thanks

change the character'speed in their atributes in FPSC itself, surely thier move speed is capped at the speed that is in the checkbox?

which can be edited by adding a speed= field to the FPI of the character.

perhaps add it under the "identity details" section after "strength"

"Guns for show, knives for a pro."

@Jon

Of course you could just change the speed-field like butterfingers said, but what i meant was if you use the runfore command the enemy will run forward and if you use movefore he will just move slow.

but the character will on run at the speed that his speed is capped at, so you need to do both things, other wise you'll have running animation with slow speed!

Yes the runfore is actually too slow to be running speed...

i forgot about that, im too used to 'speed' being something which you alter in a script

thank you, that worked

man i feel stupid, lol

btw, i wanted to ask, is there a list of the commands and variables for FPSC scripting? because i need to make some more alterations, and it would help if i knew the commands

Simply print them off in the Manual.
