I made a few models for a game im making, they need to be animated but im having trouble animating them. Does anybody know a good low - medium end program thats good at animation? I tried Milkshape and Character FX and just couldnt get the hang of it.

both of those tools sound like they are the best intergrated and cheapest solution.

if u didnt get the hang of it why dismiss a possibly good series of tools and just try again.

theres quite a few steps involved to create / skin and animate a model.
break down each part so it doesnt feel so daunting.
make a simple test so u can verify problem u encounter.

limb/joint/bone centerpoints and so forth is what helps to practise and know back to front.

check out the tutorials on both sites and guys even has made a demonstration for CFX on there site to show you how to do it in DBP.

I was practicing a little more, i can get the body parts to move with the joints, but when I go to the next frame, the last frame isnt recorded

Did you go to the taskbar and press set keyframe (ms3d)?

Whatever I did I didn't do it!

set the keyframe animate it and reset the keyframe on the same spot seems to update the model.

move along set keyframe and reposition joints then set keyframe again.

I posted a working limbed model witha simple animation here if u want to look at it.
