Hi everyone,

I'd like to take the time to introduce you to a new online publication led by me. It's entitled Waza (or Waza Online), and takes a look at the gaming, animation, film, and literature scene. As of now we're working on getting a buisness liscence, and we're currently in contact with various publishers, ones who are more than willing to provide us with reviewable builds of games, pre-screening tickets, consoles, etc.

What will make Waza worth while?
The whole focus on community is what I think will help Waza to succeed, as we're currently workign on many community based features. Anyone familiar with Club.Ign will (and who likes it) will really like our plans for the community aspect. For one our Omake section allows for fan made literature, art, games, films, and animations will over time hope to increase interest, offering a "Gaia Online" style community. Add to this our blogging system in progress. We're currently working on implementing the ever so popular Word Press blogging system with our e107 CMS to provide the ultimate blogging system, and the portal for blogs is highly featured so far. As if that's not enough, work has begun on a Habbo Hotel style component which will link user accounts from the site to the "game". This may seem rather "epic" but over the past while I've learned quite about online game development, and I hope this becomes a major draw.

Also, we've got an ecentric crew that you just can't help but love. If you know me (Gil,Gico,The Nerd, etc. may know what I'm talking about... not sure if they've seen my eccentric side, but Musashi certainly has. <_< then you'll know I'm quite the odd ball. Add to this we've got Bryn Price (aka Musashi), whose quite the odd ball himself and is a perfect supplement to my deranged ways. Then we have my good friend Hal, who is more odd than both of us to begin with. Then there's Helen, she's a bit more normal than us, from what I can tell.

We really want to have this grow into an expansive and active community, and we plan on adding to this as well via Guilds/Clans (Counter Strike Source, Silkroad, Rakion, Guild Wars, WoW, etc.) dedicated to Waza. We'll also be holding tournaments for various games as well.

So if your interested go ahead and join. And if you'd like to help support us (we need money to earn our liscence and expand, etc.) then visit a few of the Google sponsored ads which will help us earn a small profit (via Google Adsense).

Hope you enjoy,
Cian

Well, I can't help being a freak.

Just as well you haven't met her, she is far from normal when she talks about making pigeons suffer and killing cartoon bears.

I think Anime has summed up the site pretty nicely, many of the reviews will cover both old and new items, like the new FF movie, or FFVII. I didn't read the post above fully, but I don't think Anime mentioned Waza online weekly, which is when He, I and Hal come together online each weekend to discuss various things arising in the gaming industry, which our discussions can be caught in the forum section of the website, so far mainly focus on E3 and the new consoles.

Yes, and I also didn't mention our webcomic which will plunge into the world of MMORPGs, I hope to have that up in July, as I'm still trying to decide which art style would be the best so far.

I guess there isn't much interest as this thread has died rather quickly.

I really will have to stick with my current opinion as there is no response about people's thoughts. Rather depressing. =(

But if it's incentive I just reviewed Binary Zoo's three games. (short, but sweet)

This site is dead. Hal and I are working behind the scenes, playing many games, preparing reviews, watching movies (SNAKES... ON A PLANE!), and much more. We're making a new site, with a new system, and I think people will really like it. Look for the new site in September!
