Do you watch big brother? What do you think about it? Tonight Sezier got evicted from big brother with a massive 91.6%.

In my opinion, Big Brother is the worst thing to hit TV since Noel's House Party.
They seem to pick out all the stupid or misfortunate people off the streets and shove em in a little house and expect people to actually watch them living - interesting isn't it

I hear there's a guy with tourettes in there who keeps shouting out profanity during a conversation. Now, I'm sure it's not only me who thinks this, this guy has got this unfortunate condition and there's the scum of the british public watching and laughing at him. Might as well stick him in a zoo, then all the public can poke him and laugh at him there too.

I don't watch it either. Pointless waste of time, but unfortunately my mum and sister watch it every available moment of the day.

Quote: "I hear there's a guy with tourettes in there who keeps shouting out profanity during a conversation."

The fact that he keeps swearing means that the sound is almost always cut when it's on live. Now, does anyone else just feel sorry for those (like my mum and sister ) who still insist on watching it? You can't even hear what they're saying!

reality TV really gets on my nerves, especially Big Brother, it an easy way for sad losers to get fame quickly, and one thing I don't get about reality TV is that it is supposed to be realistic, where's the realism, is it realistic that a bunch of chav icons shoved into a building together having to discuss things to a camera in the closet and non are trying to escape. No doubt there's been a 'US Big brother' like everything else thats stupid that the UK has dished out, like the weakest link and pop idol.

I like Big Brother, I never miss much of it. Pete is funny, and arguments are like Flamewars on here, when Raven and Simple used to argue, it was interesting to read.

I found David Chappelle's version of Big Brother to be much more amusing.

I missed the bit where they rounded him up and forced him against his will to go into the house.
I am sure he is aware his condition will provoke amusement and I am sure he will exploit it for his 5 minutes of fame.
Big brother is cack, it always has been. It is there to feed the egos of brainless freaks and to entertain a similar audience.

Didn't say at all that he went in there against his will - he's got as much right to go in to that house as me or you. I'm just saying it's disgusting that people are laughing at his condition - I can't see any amusement or entertainment in that at all.
I know of people who watch big brother just to laugh at this guy shout sexual references during conversation - which is why i commented that they might as well stick him in a zoo and make him a public attraction.

Fair enough

The sad thing is the people who chose him to appear would have, and that says a lot about of the future of television broadcasting.

I watch big brother and enjoy it.

What rattles my cage is people who have only watched maybe one or two parts of the first series and still insist on saying they hate it. Even worse is people who say its just people sat in a house watching people sat in a house, let me tell you it ain't.

I have no trouble with people who genuinely don't like the program, it's not to everyone's liking but something tells me there are a lot of people who say they hate it just because everyone else does.

And about the chappy with tourettes (spelling?) imo channel 4 have done good letting him in. I’d bet my left leg there are a lot of people whose views of people with the condition have changed for the better since seeing him. The only people that seem to concentrate solely on the fact he swears a lot are the people that don't watch big brother. If you did you'd know he had a lot more to give than just that.

Although I must admit, watching it live can get a bit tedious. I'm happy enough tuning in at 9pm to see the good bits.

Gee, you must be really clever to have made such a strong (and offensive) assumption about me based on the fact I watch a program you don't like.

I have a perfectly informed opinion. I watchd the first two from start to end. Then I realised I'd wasted valuable computer gaming time watching rubbish. The first one was the only good one, because I hadn't seen it before. Now, they're ruining it because the people who want to enter are fame seeking chavs, and big brother has this whole "evil" thing going on.

There are, but I'm not one of them. All my friends watch it, so I feel really left out in the conversations.

Likewise, you've just made an assumption about me. I watched the first few epsiodes, felt my brain cells corrupt and decided it was beneficial to my mental health to stay away.

I've seen enough to make make judgement, so I'm not one of the idiots to watch a couple and say nope, me-no-like, because that annoys me too, like with Spongebob for example, 3 episodes is enough to say know, yet 10 makes them love it. However I genuinely hate reality TV, it grinds my gears. Yet you're all welcome to watch it, so I won't call you all sad w****ers (I'll just think it instead )

No, you're right, thats watching The Royal Family, thats entertianing (Or the dead ringers version of it actually being the royal family)

I've watched parts of every series, mainly to see who's going in, but I hate it to death. And "sub zero", you've never heard of Big Brother?

It's the worst thing to happen to television. You can't escape it. Anywhere. It was even on while I was on Vacation in Australia--it was all everybody was talking about. It's horrible, rancid, and totally useless. I mean, woah--12 people, in a house together! We get to see people we've never met before pick their noses and go to the toilet! Yay!

After however many series there has been (7 from last count), you would think the "edge" of the original would have worn off. I mean, there arn't any new "twists" that can actually surprise us.

I will admit, the first series I was sort of interested. It was a new concept (well, ripped off from the UK, but new to us--basically), and it was interesting. Then they did it again. It was old, repetitive and stupid. Then they did it again, and again, and again.

I literally don't let my friends talk about it to me. I just absolutely hate it.

It shows alot about a society when one of it's national obsessions is watching a bunch of idiots with no tallant beyond scratching themselves in front of a camera, climing into each others beds and being too bloody stupid to say "no" to the idiotic tasks set by the producers of the show. It's on step away from chineese reality television where people have to endure water torture, hang from their noses by fish hooks and other body reigons, and do other massively degrading things in front of a national audiance.

They've come pretty close to all this by giving the contenstence "raw fish smoothy's" making them slide into fish guts, drink caster oil, brine and other horrible substances and telling a vegitarian "that if she doesn't drink a raw fish smoothy she will loose them all 10 grand."

I didn't watch big brother much, but from what I saw of that, it seriousally disturbed me in reguards to where reality television is going. Give it a couple of hundred years and well end up with "live roman games" where people are slaughtering each other on our screens.

Three Score, what country do you live in?

Half of the countries I've heard of have one.

UK (obviously, it's where it started)
USA
Germany
Netherlands (I... think...)
Australia

And countless other places. And when it's on, it's all you ever hear about.

Pete is damn funny. I wish folk would forget about his condition and just listen to some of the stuff he says.

Like when they lost part of their shopping, most of the other housemates were too busy disapearing up their own butts to notice, but Pete just said cheerily ''Seeya later fruit and veg!'', classic. He's the only person on BB worth watching, he's gonna win because he's about the only sufferable person in the house, everyone else makes me cringe.

has anyone noticed that this years contestants ( well most) are in a sense already famous for porn or promotions work.....maybe they ran out of normal people and needed a bunch of actors to act like w*****s.
i think im going to work on a game where you haver to run round the bb house and kill all the contestants in strange and interesting ways.
and i might not mean on the computer.......( just bloody kidding ).
but that would be a good idea for a movie.....all the housemates move in and one is a psycho..........................hhhhhmmmmm it might not go the 12 weeks.

I listen to the stuff he says. Like when he guessed that Sezer had a circumcision, he said yay! we have won our knobs chopped off!!!

Or something like that...
