I just bought two computers from Ebay... one intenfully and the other because I'm a %$@@#$%$-%$@!!@#$$ing $#@ @#$$@@#)( #$$#@#$%!!@#$ moron who #$#@!#$#*&^%*#@ and loves every minute of it... okay, maybe I'm not a #$#@!#$#*&^%*#@ and I don't really enjoy it, it tends to hurt, but anyway...
The Dell I bought my girlfriend is brand new. On the Dell site, its going for $400 and something, and on Ebay, I got it for $200, and that's including the shipping. The other one was used, and slightly older, but I got that one for about the same price as a 17" monitor... and it just so happens that it came with a 17" monitor. To get a good computer on ebay for cheap, just follow these very simple rules of thumb:
1. Don't buy from a seller named "dbxtl"
2. Check their feedback, and not just their score... actually read comments and if they had negative feedback, hunt it down and see what it was
3. Don't buy a computer that has more than $80 in shipping costs unless it comes with a monitor as well... that's a big scam on ebay
4. Don't buy from a seller named "dbxtl"
5. Make sure you get a shipping number, and try to get it shipped via Fed Ex because their a lot better than the crappy US Postal service
6. Don't buy from a seller named "dbxtl"
and last but not least...
7. Don't buy from a seller named "dbxtl"
Follow those basic rules and you'll be hunky-dory
Edit: Oh yeah, and btw, my girlfriend's computer got here in mint condition, factory sealed in the original Dell Box and whatnot, never opened, brand-spankin' new like Jessica Simpson's chest
