I like to see people making thier own models,I hope you dont mind if I make a couple of suggestions.
You have five sections on the barrel where one would do.
You have made the barrel hollow,no point doing that wastes lots of polys.
Try pulling the edges of the stock down a bit to make them appear a bit more round.
