I need some help from the other modellers around here. I need some kind of converter or a plugin for 3d max for the ASE file format. Ive searched many sites and come to dead ends, so I am asking if any one here knows of any?

If your using 3DS Max 5 use this ASE import/export plugin;

the ASCI scene exporter should come with 3ds max, one of the standard plugins i believe...

or atleast ive got it

Max 8 doesnt seem to have it. Iam trying blender with a plugin, but I have no idea how to use the plugin.

Jon, you can export ASE files, but Max does not have an import plugin.

sorry i got confused with import and export, seems i can only export ASCI file formats aswell, i'll look into it, but ive never had to import an ASE scene...

I dont really need one any more. I decied to give it a go at building a level in max. Its quite easy, so thats what Iam doing now.
