I'm trying to understand the fpi scripting language but can't quite grasp it. I need to rewrite the doorkey.fpi so once the door is open it stays open. The script that comes with FPS Creator has the door shut after the fps leaves the area of the door. I need it to stay open once opened.
2nd question.- I've been learning Dark Basic Pro but figure the language of FPI is DBP after it's compiled. Is there any tutorial on fpi scripting language?

FPI is NOT DBP. And as for a tutorial, look above your post. Or look in Product Chat under Revial: Teh FAQ (yes, it was suppose to be)

The door does close, and puts up the message "door requires a key", but it does in fact stay unlocked. It may not stay open, but it is unlocked for the duration of the level.

JEEZ!You people just STFU! You waste more space complaining about people wasting space than the people your bashing! Man, I thought I had no life.

Only the remote doors stay open for me. all the rest close. does anyone know what I need to change in the code so it will stay open?

it stays open for as far as the test level i built, the i ran off the side and even when i was respawnd it stayed open

tried the script but didn't do anything for me. I got no message when I got to the door and it wouldn't open when I hit the Enter key.
However I did change "plrusingaction=#" from 1 to 0 in line 12 of the DoorKey.fpi and now the door auto opens when I approch it. Still would like it to stay open but it's better than having to hit the Enter key every time I have to use the door.
