Hi, everyone, my school, Council Rock High School South, have an amazing Orchestra. We were rated the best High School Orchestra in the US state of Pennsylvannia by the PMEA (Pennsylvania Music Educators Association). We also performed the pieces, 5 selected movement of the original version of "Pictures of an Expedition" and "Rusian Sailor Dance" and "The Inferno", at the PMEA convention at March 31st, 2006 for many music teachers.

It was decided that we will be traveling to Italy on a concert tour next year to Perform the selected pieces including the famous "Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture" and "La Gazza Ladra".

The fee for the tour is expensive, cost around $2500 USD for each member, therefore, we need to do some fund rasing in order to go on the trip. The Patron Book is one. The Patron Book for 2006 - 2007 is a book recorded pictures and events of our trip at Italy along with a listing of individuals and organizations who have contributed to the Orchestra trip fund. The Patron Book will be published and distributed throughout the school district at concerts and performances.

By sponsering us with a minimum of $20 USD, we will publish your Company (Site) name, address, phone number... Please e-mail for details. ( billwaahau@gmail.com )

you also didnt include anything about how our games will benefit from this. Sorry to be a pain in the neck but with recent events we never can be really too careful :\.

There are plenty of big companies that support things like these, vh1 is one of the big ones with their support the arts program or w/e theyre all doing.

Usually with trips like these, parents and students are notified almost a year or more ahead of time and make monthly payments to relieve from the cost.

Also the money shouldnt be ever put into one sum, as the students need to purchase their own plane tickets, visas passports ect.

I also dont think that this is the right place to go looking for money >,> we are just a bunch of bedroom coders

ok, ready? You game get benetfit from the patron book, people read the ad, go online and play.

Ok, what proof do you guys want? My Student ID card + a list that say I am in the Orchestra?

$2500 is the amount it cost for each member. That mean me and other orchestra member. It included plane ticket, passport, hotel, performance arrange... It's a package offered by the school. The trip is next April, so yeah, it's almost a year a head. There a seperate payment, and I need to hand in $500 by September. My parent made the first payment already, which is I think $200.

Can anyone suggest me a company or site I could ask for sponser?

Are they willing to give 20$ to a kid? Probably wouldn't even waste the time.

no offence but why do you expect to raise 2.5k$ from publising peoples games? unless you owned some big games ite or something there isnt much point, and im not sure if any dbp game has made 2.5k(bar maybe fpsc) and i certainlly think going to the fpsc boars will be a waste of time, why dont you have a yard sale or something? casinos? stocks?

Corporations will only sponsor events that are national in scope. Private businesses that have a customer base in the target advertising group will help. I raised thousands of dollars from local businesses in Texas supporting a soldier homecoming party. I had businesses like boat shops, stereo shops, tattoo parlors, custom motorcycles, etc. All places that had things to sell to soldiers returning from the desert with lots of hazard pay sitting in their accounts.

You have to be practical about raising money. Coming to an online forum to do that is just childish and silly.

Billwaa, you say you'll publish games? How exactly would you do that? What could you do that everyone else couldn't? I mean, you sound like a kid in school.

I have no idea where the people get the idea that I will publish their game. Do people when read and understand, then post or just skip the reading part, just read the title?

And yeah, I am a freshman in school for those who didn't read that I am a member of the Orchestra.
