walk near an enemy then he runs, stops, you get near him runs vanishes

:state=0,plrdistwithin=300:rotatetoplr,rotatey=180,runfore=100,state=1
:state=1,plrdistwithin=200:rotatetoplr,rotatey=90,runfore=100,state=2
:state=2,random=5000:setalphafade=0,destroy

I would guess...

Note to editor, rotatingtoplr then rotating 180 should turn you completly opisite of plr.

You have a default coward script.

The difficulty in general with running away scripts is precise control as FPSC characters dont have sophisticated object avoidance capabilities so its very possible that in confind areas or those containing a lot of obstacles they may bump into either walls or other obstacles.

With some careful level planning and placing of characters and level objects however a reasonable behaviour can be achieved.

If you can get a good script and as said in some instances use a path "if necessary" then that might help.

Expermenting will return results.

i believe the coward script makes him run away when shot and only when shot. it should use a plrdistwithin or plrdistfurther i think, if only .fpi could use variable for the second run to put in setalphafade=0
