Could someone write me a script so an entity dies right away when you start.

The truth is still unknown... or is it!

Do you want an animated death or just have a charicter dead already when the game starts? If already dead , just use a basic entity fpi instead of troubling yourself with scripts.

JEEZ!You people just STFU! You waste more space complaining about people wasting space than the people your bashing! Man, I thought I had no life.

Why would you want it to die as soon as it starts...? Just wondering.. whats the point of having it alive?

only problem is the idle animation would look silly. want a real easy one? Copy the fpe of the enmy you want already dead then rename it and change the idle animation in the fpe to the last frame of the death animation like this-
anim1 = 39,39
this makes the character idle only useing 1 frame of animation. The only thing you will need now is to assign its main script something that will inhibit its movement and heck if your a gore hound then make it invincible so when you shoot it blood splats everywhere and it never dies.

Uhh, that falls in the catagory of making a dead body. You have to get the model fixed and all.

By the way!!

I was looking at other peoples games here, and there ARE bodies in the entity bank. And they do START with FPSC.

<Edit> I dunno how to get the "view" thing, so... you have to download the picture if you want to see it.</Edit>

Unless someones already said this, you could set their spawn life to 1 second or something. Theres another way that involves health deduction in the script, but i'm sure someone said that.

You don't have to be insane to answer my questions, but it helps

I notice you said bodies...that screenshot shows ONE body, and they alreayd mentioned it earlier in the thread They said that it sucks, lol Wrycu, if you were tying to make a proffessional game would you be happy with a naked man with no crotch lying on the floor as a dead body....come on its basically a manequin (however you spell it, clothes model thing)

I put more than one dead body, which makes it plural. Never said they were different models. And no, not really. But then again I would not be using FPSC for a proffessional game. And if I were, I would re-texture it instead of trying to get an entirely new one.
