In the time it took you to give an excuse and not post a link, I found it on google. Plus, with the new link button, it's easy as pie.

Good effort, but doesn't look like something I'd play. I laughed out loud when the video said "EPIC COMBAT SYSTEM" and it just showed footage of lame hack n' slash minus the cool effects. Some of the buildings and levels look like crap too...

This is the Torque game right? I watched a video of it a while ago, it's pretty good, but the video didn't inspire me to download it.

nah the media looks like crap but ill see if the gameplay outweighs that.

HAHAHAHA the promo is half the size of the actual gmae!

EDIT: ok i just tried the game out, i found a physics glitch after doing only 1 wuest and traveled to the end of the world.
Somehow when the texture resolution gets really low and the skybox runs you you know your not supposed to be there

also look at my menu at the bottom left, health glitch as well! no wonder i can go anywhere >,> Also on ther ight you see shadex was playing as well .

I really don't think it's worth it. Go with Maple Story or Dofus if you want something free. It's flash, but hey it's still cool stuff. Personally, I recommend Guild Wars for those on a tight budget.

Hey, instead of Hazeroth they should have just called it Hasslehoff. Then I would have played it.

Love it!

I was thinking of downloading this too, when I was flicking through the Torque website, like Bear its one of the games that made me want to try Torque, and I may end up buying Torque now that I've tried the demo.

Yeah but isn't it harder to get away with hacking Guild Wars

Hacking it in the first place is hard. It's easy to get away with it.

Uhm before you guys open you snobby mouths think about the game
1. you cannot compare guildwars to mom
2. you cannot compare a game with 3 devs to a game with like 300 team with AA servers and AA liscense...apparently you guys have no appreation for a game that is the quality of a game you can make with dbp...for the price torque is better than dbp..only cause it has more features...and its only 20$ more...so someone like me or one or 2 of you guys got together paid about 200$ for 2 torques and made mom

Of course you can compare it! That like saying you can't compare a 2CV with a Ferrari. Of course you can. A 2CV is a bag of crap and a Ferrari is a thing of beauty!

As soon as I read the name "Minions of Mirth" I assumed the game would be rubbish. That is an awful name. It's like "Rappers of Wrath" or "Tigers of Termoil" or "Dipsh*ts of Destiny". Minions of Mirth has absolutely no correlation with what the game is about. I bet they thought Mirth meant Anger or Vengeance or Hatred. What is actually means is happiness or amusement.

So basically they've made a game called Slaves of Amusement. I mean really, that's all you need to know. The rest is irrelevant. If they can actually release a game called Minions of Mirth, then I'm going to take my Arse of Cunning and get the hell away from his Game of Garbage.

Edit: Ok, a bit harsh, but just having some fun.

Haha. That's exactly what I thought when I saw the title.

You know why they really named it that?

WoW
MoM

Pretty lame. They just wanted WoW to be flipped upside down, so they pretty randomly chose two M words without looking them up.

Not to knock the game, I'm sure some heart and soul went into it. However, they've neglected some pretty important stuff. Things that I certainly wouldn't neglect. And most importantly, one of the only advantages that indie developers have over commercial developers is originality. This game certainly isn't original.

[Edit]
WoW, your MoM is hot dude!!!
Haha

Lamest acronym ever.

I really don't understand the point in even making games like this to seriously compete in the MMORPG market. Nothing wrong wth making an indi MMORPG, selling a few copies etc but seriously people would rather shell out the cash for games like GW or WoW. (High quality everything, millions of players etc)

Actually, I just watched the demo movie. It's a shame because it looks like they've put a lot of work into it. There are loads of locations, lots of models (I thought the dragon skeleton bridge looked pretty cool) and obviously a fairly complex investory system etc. But the animation and combat was absolutely diabolical. As the main guy ran backwards and straffed left/right it just played the running forward animation. Unforgivable. And the enemies at the end ran through the main player. Total unforgivable. And the actual fighting animations and combat system looked terrible.

I felt a bit guilty for taking the mick, but it does actually look like a thoroughly rubbish game. It looks like some artists have put a lot of effort into it, and the game designers (mainly) have let them down terribly. That's such a shame because I think to find talented people capable of producing good media can be quite tricky, but decent gameplay should be obtainable with careful thought, planning and a bit of experimentation.

Uggh. Once again, such a shame. I think they'd sell more units without the demo movie. The movie shows all the flaws.
