Actually, I just watched the demo movie. It's a shame because it looks like they've put a lot of work into it. There are loads of locations, lots of models (I thought the dragon skeleton bridge looked pretty cool) and obviously a fairly complex investory system etc. But the animation and combat was absolutely diabolical. As the main guy ran backwards and straffed left/right it just played the running forward animation.
Unforgivable. And the enemies at the end ran through the main player.
Total unforgivable. And the actual fighting animations and combat system looked terrible.
I felt a bit guilty for taking the mick, but it does actually look like a thoroughly rubbish game. It looks like some artists have put a lot of effort into it, and the game designers (mainly) have let them down terribly. That's such a shame because I think to find talented people capable of producing good media can be quite tricky, but decent gameplay should be obtainable with careful thought, planning and a bit of experimentation.
Uggh. Once again, such a shame. I think they'd sell more units without the demo movie. The movie shows all the flaws.
